Featured Replies

I am goin' to the store tommorow and am confused... on a tight budget. Othewise I'd just take the shop home ::( I can't figure out if I want another Spro Bronzeye( Which I can't catch fish on worth a hoot), different Rage Tail baits( which kinda look good.......LOL), or what I'm really interested in,  a pack of soft swimbaits. I've never used the soft swimbaits, but wanna check into 'em. I'll be usin' 'em in ponds, so I wanna bluegill  color, if possible. So... what ya'll think........ froggy, rage tails, or swimmers?? Please help!!!

Get the Rage Tails! I fish a billion small ponds, and that's all I use now, and this has been my best year of fishing EVER!!! I don't know what I would do without my Rage Shads and Anacondas!

If you're on a tight budget then buy something you have confidence in. Nothing worse than blowing money on a bait that you don't get bit on. I was crazy about the rage shads but for some reason I can only get bit on them in my home pond. Go figure. That being said the other rage tails are good - I caught a couple nice bass at Guntersville last weekend carolina rigging a rage craw. It's a quality bait.

Oh yeah the anacondas are great and if you can find it the Thumper worm rocks too. They just hit BPS

Thanks guys!!! I have to make up my mind................. Guess I won't know 'till checkout time ::(

Go get some Senko or trick sticks 4" watermellon, pumpkinseed, black, junebug all good colors. Get some 3/0 - 4/0 hooks and your good.

Other good suggestions that I have had good luck with are the berkley gulp turtle back tail worms. I usually get junebug color and they do really well.

If you are on a budget don't waist money on lures buy plastics there more versatle.

On a budget, I'd get a pack of Rage Shads and a Pack of Bass Magic Swimbaits with weighted 5/0 Gammy Superline hooks. Last time I was at my local Dick's, the Bass Magic were $3.99 for 6 of the 4.5"

Bought 3 bags. Check Wally World. If they have the Rage baits I think they are $4.99 per pack. You won't find a better topwater bait than the Rage Shad. You can burn it in like a buzzbait but with no hangups, slow it down and wake it, and even let it sink down into holes in grass, pads etc. I've even heard some guys weight it down and use it as a swimbait.

Isn't the Shad a bit unrealistic for subsurface work? Also, Won't a shad color be out of order and a bit unsuccesful for ponds :-?
