Another Reason To Carry And Practice.

Bluebasser, I was in my local bank's branch when the teller next to me was being held up.

I missed the entire adventure and was absolutely no help to the police.

The perk was caught after a high speed chase on Interstate 64, including some gunfire, a few weeks later.

He is now safe behind bars.

Scare someone off with a "warning shot" because they kept a bass? I wouldn't trust you with a Rat-L-Trap, let alone a gun.

Yep, that's why I do not carry.

I am fortunate not to place myself into situations where one needs to carry but as pointed out above, an Alfred Hitchcock moment can occur when you least expect it.

To see our waters polluted and fish taken that destroys the beauty and enjoyment of nature just rubs me the wrong way.

And for those who do not know, Alfred Hitchcock's movies placed unsuspecting people into chaotic situations.

I sincerely hope it never happens to you, anyone on the Forum, your family members and friends.

As long as he has a valid fishing license and stays within his daily creel limits, he is free to catch and eat whatever he wants. Like it or not, the fish weren't put there just for your enjoyment.

Stasher, they don't have licenses. They don't follow any creel limits.

I don't care for your negative attitude. I am telling you what is going on in this neck of the woods.

Even Virginia DG&IF is upset at the slaughter of our James River catfish population.

They leave the rotting cauces along the river's shoreline.

The local police don't have the manpower to police the areas.

I sincerely hope nothing like this ever happens in Georgia.

I return all caught fish into the water so they can live and be caught another day. The people I am writing about don't believe in this philosophy.

Sorry you have such a negative attitude about what is going on up this way.
