3 Trips This Week For Sauger, Then A Lost Day.

Featured Replies

Yes today was a lost day, Had plans on getting on the water early this morning. But my body had other ideals. It was 6 pm when I loaded the boat last night. Knowing they were going to cut the water back at noon today.I was thinking about getting there early. That would give me 6 hours of fishing before the water starts falling. But my back told me different this morning.. :Idontknow: Thats life. Theres always next week. :respect-059:

No signs of shad in the river right? Last sunday I went and fished on the lake and in yellow creek there were thousands of gulls and we saw some shad dead on top of the water. Then occasionally you would see one start to flutter up to the top and then fall back down.......hope it was just a yellow creek thing and doesnt hurt our river fishing!

Did not see any floating or birds feeding in the river. But bad news the river below Pickwick dam is getting muddy, we were at Cravens landing north of Savannah Tn yesterday water was fine. But from about River Heights south toward the dam they say it was muddy.

Also they revised the water again, were showing it would start falling today at noon. Now its a slow fall over the next few days.

Well the birds were diving all over the place last Sunday in Yellow Creek. Hopefully it wont make it to the dam, and wont be a full on shad kill. What causes the water to muddy like that and how long will it take to clear up?

Jeff

sorry about your back man. i haven't been to the river in 3 weeks. hope there's no shad kill yet, but unfortunately it's about that time.

Thanks but its something I have been living with like this for over 16 years... Was going fishing in the AM, but not sure now. Jim Cantore (from the Weather Channel) is on his way to Memphis. I know the weather is supposed to get bad, but Jim Cantore bad???? Geesh!!!
