I like the idea of a kit with quick clip blade attachments for the versatility but gosh, sure seems like a lot to spend on spinners. Any of these kits a good value? Can anyone attest to their quality?

I have several minikits.  A buddy of mine is on their pro staff, they are a great company with a great product.  its my understanding that the pro pack is for pro staffers, and they get that at a highly discounted rate.  I'd order a few minikits first, to see if they are for you.

I ordered one of their $50 kits about 3 years ago.  The baits are nice running and good quality but a little overpriced IMO.  I was happy with the products.  Next time I would probably order without the kit.

I'm no pro, but I can confidently say these are super quality baits and that's why Secret Weapon lures cost a bit more than your average spinner/buzzer. They're really slick baits though. The colors are awesome, the hooks are razor sharp, the bodies are covered in thick, colorful, paint to match the skirts and, most importantly, they look different in the water. The blades flutter above the body attached to their clips instead of the spinnerbait arm. This also make the hook more accessible when a bass chomps down on it. You can even flip these lures because the blades do this helicopter thing as the bait sinks straight down. Just order a couple to try out. They are a little different so, who knows, maybe you won't like them. I doubt it, but I wouldn't drop $100-180 bucks on a bait I hadn't tried out first.

P.S. My favorite is the Sidearm:
