Lower Colorado River (Fisher's Landing)

Featured Replies

Fished Lower Colorado River today, launched out of Squaw Lake and started fishing at 7:30.... Water temp was right at 49 - 50 deg. Started out crankin' in about 10 -12 feet of water with a KVD sexy shad 5xd and a siler and blue lipless with no results, moved on to wacky wormin' 5 -10 feet of water with no results. Moved out to the river down to the dam, tried jiggin' a strike king jig with a yum craw trailer, again no results. Powered up the outboard and moved to Hidden Shores boat docks. Jigged and drop shot the docks, again no fish are want to play. Moved up to the mouth of Martinez Lake, fishing around the rocks at the mouth I cranked, jigged, and tubed. Just unable to find any fish there either.

Its now about 2 pm and I called the wife and had her and the kids come out to fishers to go scout out some new spots on the river, the water was alot higher than it has been in a long time.

All in all with no fish willing to play for the day it was still a good day on the water....

I am not sure where that is at but I fish the Colorado river in the summer right around Palo Verde. The actual place is called walters camp and my friend has property and a boat so I go all the time and the fishing is amazing.
