Why Pro Staff and NPS?
Yes many people get confused with the term pro staff... it is promotional staff is what it not professional staff... and discounts very from company to company and depending on what you can offer them, because let's face it, it's not what they can do for you, it's what you can do for them... let's look at it like this, if you get on a pro (promotional) staff and you get company xyz some new accounts in local tackle stores ect ect, discounts change to free product, and promotional staff changes to pro team, all depending on the work you put it... just like anything else it takes work!
-
Why Pro Staff and NPS?
Yes that is true... part of a pro staff agreement is to have input on product design and product ideas...
-
Why Pro Staff and NPS?
If you spend thousands a year in fishing tackle or fishing related products say like myself, any discount offered helps... yes if you big enough or desirable enough they will pay you, you are correct. But not everyone can be a desired bass pro right away... being on a pro staff that offers at least a discout helps in gear cost, more money for travel more money for entry fees ect ect... this is my opinion!
-
Why Pro Staff and NPS?
What you get from companies depends on what you can do for them... they will offer you discounts to free gear in exchange for the value of promotion/exposure/getting there equipment in to new stores.. it all depends, then there are certain things you will be expected to do.. a certain about of posts, likes, trade shows, ect.. ect.. to being exclusive to them...

Why Pro Staff and NPS?
I just joined nps to see if it works or not... Cost to join - Free Cost to become Am/Pro - $49.00 Cost to submit resume to company looking for anglers - $20.00 and a free member and $16.00 as an Am/Pro Benifits... it is what they say bridging the gap between anglers looking for pro staff/sponsorship opportunities, instead of anglers resumes getting lost in the black sea of mail/email or cold calling not talking to the right person... These companies spend money to post what they call casting calls looking for anglers. I know this because i posted about my current sponsor that i have had for 4 years that i found before joining nps and an employee of nps messaged me to see if they would be interested in joining nps... i had a few questions before i talked to my sponsor and that is how i know is cost company money to look for anglers... These companies are looking for more anglers to promote their brand, so potential anglers resumes get into the right hands of the marketing department of a company.. As for the wanting to represent the brands you already use and have cofidence in, there are 500 companies that use NPS, just keep watching for the companies the produce the products you use and submit your resume when they are actively looking for anglers to join there team... Thanks and good luck.. And yes it worked for me, I submitted a resume on the second day and was accepted to join there team.. I have been in contact with the head of marketing on the west many times and talked with him about some ideas of mine already... I have now been a member of nps only for 2 weeks...

Pro-Staff (Its A Foot In The Door)
I got home the other day from work and there was a package at the door..... Thought it was some parts for my boat that I ordered. As I'm walking in the door I knew what I was going to be doing for the next few hours............ Installing my new parts.... I opened the package and the was an letter on the top of the package, I unfolded it and started reading. We appreciate your interest in becoming part of the Lake Fork Trophy (LFT) family. We will review your resume and qualifications. As you can imagine, we receive many request and we do our best to review all of these in a timely manner. We will contact you if there is a current need in your area. If there is not a current need, we will keep all requests on file for future considerations. Again, thank you for your interest in LFT Lures. As I was reading this I thought to myself man my first letter and they took the time to read and reply with a generic letter, but still they still took the time to read it, that's all that matters now.... I continue reading the letter as there was more to it..... The above is what I usually send to applicants, but your letter caught my attention. Although I take all pro-staff orders I'm usually not the one who makes the final decision on who gets added. But I'm going to add you anyway. Our pro-staff get % off all LFT products and % off anything else. If there is something that you would like to try out let me know and I will get your free samples. Send me updates and info on how you are doing and promoting LFT. I don't expect you to use LFT exclusively since we are not paying you, but the more you help us the more we can help you. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns... Thank you and welcome to Lake Fork Tackle.... at the bottom of the box 15 bags of all types of there baits to add to the current ones that I have.... Now I was thinking that my first letter not only got looked at by someone but it also got a very good reply.... I was very excited for myself at this moment, Its a start to a long dream that I have had... I have taken 5 straight years into planning and reading to put my approach and finial letter together.... Thank you for anyone that has taken the time to read and had out some constructive knowledge on my other post, this feeling that I have is also a large part of the ones who took the time to help out..... Thank you!!!

Proposal Letter.....
I have done a lot of research and reading on this topic in my spare time off the water fishing. With all the searching, reading and talking to people this is the marketing/advertising/promotion proposal letter that I have put together. I was hoping to find someone to take a look at what I have put together. I'm not looking to sign with Ranger Boats or Evinrude Outboards. I'm starting small, some local business around my home town..... Proposal Letter: Dear: Potential Business Partner I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this letter, as it will potentially benefit me, but more importantly you. My name is Bryan Crawford and I am a competitive tournament b*** angler. You are probably thinking what does that have to do with your company. I am extending this invitation to you personally, to partner with me to promote and market your growing company in a new way. What do I mean in a new way? As a competitive tournament b*** angler, I compete in bass tournaments throughout the Southwest. I can provide you an entire new marketing angle. Advertising in this manner will put your company name and logo in the middle of other anglers, their families, spectators and the general public. If your company has not thought about this unique approach of business marketing, it may benefit your company to take a closer look. Everyday companies are involving themselves with competitive tournament b*** angler marketing. Some of these companies have nothing to do with the fishing industry at all. Companies like Pedigree, Evan Williams, Toyota, Fuji Film, Geico and many more. I feel there is a better opportunity for companies that are not related to the fishing industry. With the rough economy you are forced to stretch you advertising dollars more and more. competitive tournament b*** angling can make a lot of sense because many companies have not been introduced to this type of marketing before. With the growing popularity of bass angling many companies are using tournament trails and its anglers, to help promote and market their products and services in a new way. As a competitive tournament b*** angler, I have prepared some excellent ideas to help promote and market your company. If you are interested in exploring a new marketing approach, which I can offer, please feel free to contact me. I am looking forward to becoming part of your Pro-Staff (Promotional Staff) So if anyone has any thoughts about this it would be great to hear them. If you would like to see more of the proposal please let me know and I can Email it to if you would like...

Lower Colorado River (Fisher's Landing)
Fished Lower Colorado River today, launched out of Squaw Lake and started fishing at 7:30.... Water temp was right at 49 - 50 deg. Started out crankin' in about 10 -12 feet of water with a KVD sexy shad 5xd and a siler and blue lipless with no results, moved on to wacky wormin' 5 -10 feet of water with no results. Moved out to the river down to the dam, tried jiggin' a strike king jig with a yum craw trailer, again no results. Powered up the outboard and moved to Hidden Shores boat docks. Jigged and drop shot the docks, again no fish are want to play. Moved up to the mouth of Martinez Lake, fishing around the rocks at the mouth I cranked, jigged, and tubed. Just unable to find any fish there either. Its now about 2 pm and I called the wife and had her and the kids come out to fishers to go scout out some new spots on the river, the water was alot higher than it has been in a long time. All in all with no fish willing to play for the day it was still a good day on the water.... I have a new fishing web site and I would like you to take a look at it and tell me what you think.... http://bryancrawfordfishing.WebStarts.com/index.html I also just landed my first sponsor, Liquid Eyewear...... I would also like you to check out there website.... www.liquidpolarized.com Thanks Everyone
