If anyone is around, give me a shout. I will be at the TVA ramp or River Heights. But plans are to put in below the dam for a few hours. Then move down river.

Looks like the waters going to be cooking by Thursday, There showing 173,489. Plus calling for floods Thursday also. So it may well shut the fishing off for a week or so. If they hit the rain like there perdicting. I say it will be in the boat ramp parking lot by the weekend. Looks like some places in Al got 2" or so yesterday. So if we have an extra 2 or 3" of rain higher water it is.

Leaving for the river now, Getting a late start. But its only 12 miles to the boat ramp at Savannah. So will put in there and run up river fishign a few holes on the 15 mile run.

Man what a day, Backed out on the dam. Put in at River Heights at 8am, the fog was thick enough I had to cross the river even then by GPS. Caught 5 big Keeper Sauger, Had 5 throw backs. Bet I lost 5 or more good Sauger about the time you could see them. Lots of white bass and a Few nice Stripers. Biggest Striper was 22" on light spinning rod.

Water color is good, guessing I had 24" down to see my fish. But its coming up and swift.

Did you drive up by the dam and see how far up the ramp it is now?

No but it will be about ready to be in the boat Parking lot at the Botel by Saturday if not Early Friday. Theres 4ft waves crashing into the TVA boat ramp so don't think anyone will be using it unless they are crazy.

The water report shows 378.8 ft by Saturday am and at 380 the boat parking area south of the Botel begins to flood. AT 382 waters in the parking at the TVA boat ramp there at the Camp Grounds.

Also shows the lake to be above 415 ft by noon on Saturday, Thats getting close to the parking lot at the State park docks. I think 418 and a tad is the highest the lake has been in years. But I know in 1973 it was trying to run over the top of the dam. And the had 9 flood gates wide open as in the bottom gates were also pulled. But in all 21 gates were open. The dam was shaking when we walked out and looked down over the flood gates then. Water came up over 19ft from dark one evening until daylight the next am. Man what a flood it was.
