I am also thinking of getting a power pole. I am thinking of getting the blade series that goes to 10 ft. I have a 93 20' Skeeter and normally fish Lk. St. Clair and other inland lakes around Michigan. It seems to me that I see a lot of people having 2 of them on their boat. Why would I need 2 would only having one mean the boat would move with the wind and will I be able to use it on a boat that old or would I need some sort of adapter.

A single Powerpole will hold you just fine, but the single pole position still allows your boat to pivot. With 2, you wont pivot and therefore can set up at a precise angle and not move.

Right now they have the special going on. Buy the power pole, then send in your UPC and they'll send you the remote kit FREE ($279 normally). I only have one, does fine, two is purely preference. You can dock without tying up and like the previous post, you can hold it still... great for windy days. I personally like dropping the pole and pivoting around an area. I'll probably end up getting another put on before the season starts, it's the cool thing to do. lol
