Soloboat

I saw this at the Cincinnati boat and fishing show this past weekend. I thought it was AWESOME!! The convenience of a bass raider but small enough for just a solo fisherman. AND, it actually breaks down to fit in the back of an SUV. For small ponds, streams this would be deadly. Check it out:

That IS pretty cool. The two-piece design makes it manageable for only one person to load/unload from a vehicle.

Also, if you somehow put a hole in one of the hull sections, you've got a dry section left...

I don't see a retail price on the web site. Did they provide a price at the show?

The price at the show was $999. Which, is not an outrageous price for a fiberglass boat. the difference between this and the Pond Prowler/Bass Raider is that eventually, they leak. Sorry guys. i have had one and you eventually end up with water in one side or the other.

The other cool feature is that it breaks down. It was very stable and well made. i especially liked the wheel for transportation.

That does sound like a good price. I have a bass boat but I am in the market for something I can hopefully carry in my pickup for smaller waters. I will need a bed extender for most boats that I am looking at but I may be able to get by without one with this solo boat.

This boat was fitted with a 30lb thrust trolling motor. The guy at the show said his actually had a 44lb thrust motor and said it would darn near rooster tail across the lake. lol

There were some other features that were noteworthy. It came in either white, or olive green. Due to the lightweight construction it was less than 100lbs and could easily be taken down by one person.

Does it have flotation foam? I looked at these a few months ago and ended up with a used basstender due to the safety factor and fact that i cant sink it. If the soloboat gets swamped, does it just sink?

Good question and I don't have the answer. I am sure it has something listed at the website or by contacting the dealer
