Anybody ever try the H2o (academy) hollow bodied frogs?

Featured Replies

I bought one of these yesterday after staring at the spro frogs for 7-8 right beside these for 3-4. The quality of this thing seems amazing. I love the color pattern (watermelon/red pearl belly).

I've heard of people trimming the legs on the spro frogs. What's the benefit? How do ya'll like to fish these?

Never fished the academy frogs, but assume they are very similar to any hollow belly frog in general.  ]Fish em on top in heavy cover.  I like to trim the legs about 1/4 to 1/2 inch, it gives the frog better action.  I like a pop and pause retrieve, steady retrieve or walking retrieve... really depends on what the fish want.

I was wondering the same thing.  Was at Academy the other day specifically for Spro's & these were right next to them at a MUCH cheaper price.  They looked pretty good to me.

any feedback I was wondering if they are any good as well or do they have flaws in their action?
