Hey Fellas,

A member of my club has a one of these he will sell for 50.00.

It's a 5- 6 yr old, 7' FC-6-17 Heavy 3/8 - 1oz / 12-25 line.

I don't do much caroloina rigging if at all but I was thinking about useing it as a spinner bait, trap or jerk bait rod.

I'm asking because It has a more moderate tip that my flipping stick or jig rod which are both MH.

Has anyone ever used one? and if so do you think it would be a good rod to use for 1 or all of those 3 techniques, and what line do you use?

Thanks

Mike

I got a Bucoo with those specs, and would never think about it for a spinnerbait.

not enough tip for me.

maybe since the guy is in your club you can tie a spinnerbait to it and borrow it for a few hours one day.

I have that Bucoo and actually love throwing spinnerbaits on it. It isn't quite soft enough for crankbaits IMO. If u like buzzbaits you'll love this rod. Most of the time that's all I throw on it.

different strokes different folks! LOL

Haha so true. At any rate Mike its a good rod for the $. U mentioned jerkbaits. Today i threw a megabass vision on It and it did okay, though 7' is pushing it For length on a jerkbait rod in my hand.

Thanks guy's...

I was just wondering, as I haven't heard about that rod.

You're right Brian, we have a tourn coming up next weekend I'll grab it and try it out next week on all 3 and see what happens.

Mike

I have two of the CLD's, and wouldn't recommend them for 'Traps/SB/jerkbaits. I have used them for jigs/worms/c-rigs and that's all. Just not enough tip for much else.
