Not only do we get to watch the red hot Red Wings, now with 23 straight home victories, we get even more quality hockey action right here at home.

Big Rapids, Michigan - Home of the Ferris State Bulldogs - #1 in NCAA Division 1 Hockey.

Not too shabby from a school with only a fraction of the students many of the other schools have. Sometimes nice things happen on the ice!

Could not agree with you more. Congrats to Ferris State!

It still amazes me that hockey is not more popular. I get it that most of the country never sees ice, so hockey is not really an option for most to enjoy. However, it is one of the last professional sports that hasn't been tainted by money, egos, and bad officiating. I can't even watch the NBA for most of those reasons.

Go Red Wings!!!! Bring home Lord Stanley

The fun with sports other than football is that all schools can field a team that is competitive.

You need only 5 good guys for basketball; three starters and two or three strong relievers for baseball; some brutes for hockey and Lacrosse; and one good guy in each weight class for wrestling.

Hope Ferris State can go all the way this year. It will be fun to watch the Frozen Four with Ferris State and some of the big schools. The best goalie will probably win.

For the last two games, they've done themselves wrong.

Granted with Datsyuk out that they had to shuffle the lines around, but all I've seen is a bunch of guys who have lost an edge so to speak when it comes to puck control. At least they did pick up another point last night and I'm sure they will figure out their other problems soon enough.
