are their guidlines t what you trade,,,ive heard you can go buy a zebco 202 and trade it,,,,,? just wondering im going tomorrow and its 2hr ride for me

To my knowledge, the only rule is that the reel must work. I've only done it a couple of times, but I just take one of my old reels that don't get much use anymore.

Remember, you can only trade in ONE reel toward the purchase of another reel. You cant trade in three reels for, say, $60 bucks off of another one. One reel for one reel.

I ave an old trout reel that doesn't see any use anymore. I'm trading it in for one of the new Carbonlights. My girlfriend is coming with me. Somehow, she got hold of another old reel of mine and SHE is trading it in for another Carbonlite.....
