But sometimes the skirt will get caught up in the blade.  Just trim the top part of the skirt and you'll be fine.

I've had that happen a couple times with them too.

i don't use mine much but i don't think i've had any issues with it

Make sure your upper arm (the one holding the paddles) is directly in line with the hook, and lead head.  Just like a spinnerbait, if the arm, hook and head aren't in line the bait will not run correctly.

Hey used mine all day today and found out how to make it come up on its side. I was curious about your case and thought I would experiment. Anyhew, SLOW DOWN!!!! If you burn it too quickly it will torque up on its side. It has the three blades for the specific purpose of going slow. That's what sets it apart from the heavy two bladed models. Ironically enough I found this Bowfin amongst the bass today thought it was interesting.
