Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg Area?

Featured Replies

I am leaving Ohio in April and going there for vacation. Is there any good bass fishing in the area? I figure I would ask some of the people who live near there.

There are several lakes in the area to fish at, Douglas is just a few miles away from downtown Sevierville and you also have Cherokee lake that is about 25 minutes away. Both are good lakes.

I had a great time when I was there, wading the Little Pigeon for smallmouth. It was closer to June, but there was good action, and fun fishing. Also fished Douglas Lake and found bass and white bass on points and bars. Plum finesse worms and senkos did pretty well. I'm not from East TN, so didn't have much intel going in.

Don't know about the Tennessee lakes much, but I am just across the mountain in NC. 45 miles and takes about 1 hour and a half, but you would be welcome to join me one day fishing Fontana Lake. Won't have to bring a thing, got all the rods and reels and baits we will need already on the boat.
