Nail polish from the Dollar store works great to paint heads and is very chip resistant.

well i got my northstar jig heads in today and stsarted tying and it is addicting coming up with colors that you think will work and it is fun to tie when i have nothing else to do

Don't fish with them, save them, because in 2 years you're going to look back at them and be able to see how far you've come. If you fish with em, you'll end up losing them and you'll never have that point of judgement.

I've got my first Jig, and OMG! Believe me, your first Jig is a HELL Of a lot better than my first Jig, hehe.

Well I caught my first fish on one of my own jigs Saturday and it was awesome knowing that I tied it and it worked!

It doesn't get better than that.

Are you referring to the jig body or skirt colors? On my jig bodies I use a lot of blk, blk/blu, green pumpkin and bluegill colors like my avatar. The same goes for the matching skirts. I have never had a lot of success with white or wht/ylw chart. Most of my powder paints are custom made, so I can create some really interesting color combos. You can do that as well, just use your imagination.

I'm talking about skirt colors for spinnerbaits I cant find a chartruse on fishingskirts.com that would be universal it all has red or orange or green flakes in it.

And what are some patterns for jigs that would be good, like colors to get?

I have green pumpkin with black spots and watermelon just looking for more colors to try i also have some other colors like Orange, black, blue, yellow, and red..should I try some living image colors? Like i said I'm just wanting to experiment and try new things and curious to what colors you guys use?

the solid chartruese is under the solid colors no flake. he is out of alot of stuff right now, I have about ten colors that are really hot sellers for me that haven't been up for like weeks, I think sales have rebounded a bit for everyone and alot of the suppliers got caught with there pants down. Kinda funny though, I talked to him in late December and he said that he had this spring licked and there was going to be no out of stock stuff, talked to him like a week ago and he had a little bit something different to say...lol Poor Charles is putting in alot of hours this spring!
