I am going to assume most of us use plano boxes or something similar. But how do you organize each individual box? Color? Size? Looking to redo my organization and wanting ideas.

recently i reorganized my tackle box and 4 my crank baits i put my absolute best or the ones i used the most in one boxs and the extrs i put in two boxes shallow and deep. for my soft plastics i put the colors i used the most in one box and all the other ones that i might not use that much in a different box. then with all the baits that i left in the original bags i put them in a pocket as i want to use them.

I keep all mine sorted by brand, then in each brand box they are separated by depth.

Just go a couple of pages back and look at the "lets see your tackle" post.  At least that is what I think it is called.  It showed how a lot of people organize their tackle.  People with unbelievably high amounts of tackle as well.  Many great organizational  tips.

Personally, I use 360 trays.  Right now, they are getting near the capacity.  I have one, for hard plastics, one for terminal tackle, and one for wire baits and jigs.  All my soft plastics stay in the top compartment of the box.  When a box gets full, I will get another, and separate out again.  example:  My fullest box is the wire baits, so when I get more, the spinners/buzzers will go in one, and the jigs, etc, will go in the other.

Also, get a soft box.  I have a hard box, and it was great for shore fishing, (built in chair) but with the boat a soft one is better.

Agree with Bassboy---softsided is by far better.  Especially with some of the newer Plano/Falcon boxes.  The new Plano's with angled dividers and the Falco for spinner baits and the one for worm hooks/weights are good.  Also, many of these are thinner so you can get 5 or 6 boxes in a soft sided bag.  Lots of flexibility.

And when all else fails, I had a softsided brief case that holds 4 Plano boxes perfectly---being retired that was the best use for a briefcase---lol.

i keep my hardbaits and jigs in one of those new v channel boxes from bass pro. i have two worm binders. on has senkos, and lizards. the other has tubes, craws, and flukes
