Hello first off. I am getting a tracker 190 with a 90 opti delivered this fri. Now I know it's nothing fancy however it is a big step up from my last tracker deep v proguide 16 witha 50 I had. I tried making it into something she wasn't lol. I fish a club and will also be getting into some smaller team event this year. So many ?s I want to up grade to a 24 vlt tm and also replace console sonar and place a unit on bow. So far this week I grabed a 3 bank charger another battery and a lowrance elite 4 color unit. I was planning on down scanner for front but have been informed that it won't be good up front at low speeds so probably gonna grab another lowrance but the elite color 5 unit for the bow I guess does this make sense to anyone lol these fishing electronics are new to me not good with tech stuff. I will be using it for deeper smallies in Sumer they told me I will won't the bigger screen up front.

ijust finished installing a humminbird 898c SI on the bow of my tracker 175. I also belong to a bass club and fish tourneys also. I installed my 898cSI on a 10" ram mount and when it is straight up and down it puts the unit closer to my old eyes and makes it easier to adjust settings. I will use the unit mostly for dropshotting in highland reservoirs for smallmouth bass as the state as put out numerous fish attractors. i will also use the SI for locating structure as well....to answer your ? get the biggest screen you can afford...the upgrade for 24 volt is easy add another battery put jumper wire across the 2 for 24 volts and install your 24 volt trolling motor and hook it up lots of good knowledgeable people here that will help.....

Two things to spend as much money on as you can afford...

1. Electronics

2. Trolling motor

Spend whatever you have left on tackle!

Get the wife and kids used to eating bread and water and you'll have more to spend!

Got another question that's bothering me a bit. The stock console unit is a black and white lowrance x50. The one I bought last week is a lowrance elite 4 color unit. Could I just plug the new screen into existing transducer wiring or do I need to rerun the new cables and rip out the old ones.
