I use a lot of braid, but never have tried a Hi-vis. My question is: Does the Hi-vis colors fade as readily as the typical greens and browns ??

I'd say it fades a little slower at best.

My PP hi vis yellow has hardly faded, been on the reel over 40 outings offshore in the ocean. I don't use any line application.

I use the Daiwa yellow Samurai and none of their line colors seem to fade as fast as other brands.

A few reels have the yellow that is about 4 years old and it looks more dirty than faded.

I use the green Samurai and the Saltiga Boat multi-color also.
