A New Bait And Trying The Blue Gill

Featured Replies

I was talking to a friend of mine about a blue gill pattern. He had mentioned something I haven't thought about but a really young blue gill basically a light color and light greens and yellows.

I see more bluegills of that color more than the darker oranges, greens and blues.

The young bluegills i see are typically light brown with brownish-golden stripes (very light contrast). They have yellow breats and watermelon/green pumpkin backs. Their I can always see their tails flickering as they swim, so maybe dip the end of your crank, by the rear treble, in either white or chartruse.

Just my two cents. Thanks!

I always paint my bluegills with lots of silver and light green and pale yellow. That's how the small forage sized bluegills really look ;)
