Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia (Big variety of water types to fish)

Staunton River, Altavista, Virginia (great Smallie fishing)

Leesville Lake, Virginia (When it is not full of debris and the water level is where it should be)

Ocean Anywhere but mostly off the Coast of NC (Kings and MahiMahi... Woohoo)

Yup... spawn.

I have been catching them over near Lucky Island in Blackwater area. Wasn't targeting them though. All have been caught on some form of Strike King Square Bill... mainly sexy shad... fishing for large and small mouth. All have been in the coves just past Lucky island.

Go to these coordinates: N37° 02' 47.45" W079° 39' 36.01" . This is Lucky Island.

From my pic... 1.jpg the red circles are where i have been nailing the stripers in fairly shallow water.

awesome! these are all new spots for me , i haven't been to this part of the lake yet but really i haven't been to lake just to fish most times it has been pleasure boating. During all my trips pleasure boating i have always seen good fish and always told my self i need to come back just to fish and leave the women at home! :wink2: So that's what im doing!!

Anyways are these spots gonna be rocky? flats? drop offs? structure? I wont have much for electronics, this boat says it comes with depth finder but im sure its a cheapo. As long as i can get depths out of it i should be good.

Thanks again for your guys input...trying to make as much out of this one day trip as possible on this big lake!
