Jigs. Don't know what I am doing wrong, I cannot catch a fish on a jig. I have caught more carp on jigs than bass. (1 carp, 0 bass...)

x2 minus the carp... I know they work, as I've seen and heard of the success stories, but I have yet to catch a single fish on a jig. I will keep throwin them tho, as I am sure it is my technique that is the issue.

Might try this... 1/4 oz green pumpkin jig with Green Pumpkin Trailer (RT for best results) ;) tip claws with Chartreuse JJ's, 15lb floro on a sensitive med or hvy action rod, Cast-Pitch or Flip in any water 6ft or less (Except bathtubs and swimming pools) Fish much slower than you're probably accustomed to, fish just like it is a T rig soft plastic with a very slow and timid scoot, slide or tiny hop PAUSE etc. That will fix it most likely... and then we will celebrate your success with a TOAST ;)

Jigs, buzz baits, I've only caught 1 on spinnerbaits, t-rig worms, frogs, and since I've picked up fishing again about this time last year only 1 on cranks lmao. I know there is a lot but no luck with them.

I hate to admit it but I've not had much luck with Senkos. I caught a few fish early on with them but not many. I guess now I just don't use them. Maybe I should try them again.

Paddle Tail Swimbaits. There are at least 5 other lures I'd throw before a Paddle Tail, but I know they can work.

Ya know, soft bodied swimbaits in general... one tiny bass once, thats it!

helicopter lure :roflmao1:

I purchased them a few years back that were on clearance along with the "flying lure". We took the flying lure out and caught a 3lb bass righ taway. I never opened the helicopter lures up yet. I have them in two different colors. Heck for a $1 there part of fishing history with Rowland Martin on the package. Someday m,y kids may ebay them. Right now there in my fishing museum.
The fish are out there just waiting for you to throw the right lure along with the correct presentation so why are you still here?

Here's my non producing lures.

Rapala DT10 first series nada, nothin, zipo on all of them. I purchased every color and caught nothing. I just put them back in my tackle box to try them again.

The older Luhr Jensen crankbaits when they were said to be the hot ticket when they were new. Of course i purchased most of the colors too. I'll try these again too.

Guys i find that all this stuff works sooner or later its the conditions and presentations were using. It could also be the baity needs some tweeking so it runs correctly.

Spinnerbaits have to run perfectly straight in order to catch fish. I can spend 30 minutes when i first started tweeking them but they do work awesome. Cranks are the same also if there not working too. Its very important to change colors too. I tried jigs with success on the very first try. I walked and hopped it up a rocky point. With the rocky points the wind direction can vary the side the fish are positioned on. There on the down wind side. Its a learning process everytime i go fishing. Using scent helps too and i wash my hands before i go fishing with BIG Orange too. I'm a mechanic so my hands are oily sometimes even when we can't see it. So wash your hands before going fishing and use scents. Do not use the gas pump when going fishing it can ruin your trip. Gas up before you go and wash your hands after you gas up.

At the top of the list for me is the Zara Spook. I've thrown them until my arms ached and never got so much as a touch.

The color that I consistently strike out with is baby bass. Never caught anything on a baby bass colored lure.
Add to that bubble-gum colored soft plastics.

There are no magic lures and the fish don't care how much you paid for your gear.

The baby bass with the orange bottom works great here. Try the spooks early in the mornings or in the evenings as the light starts to go away. I like to give the spooks the three rip and then a pause. Thats just three little rips then pause and repeat. It has to be done exactly right timing wise too. They will time it so they hit on the pause. Trust me i'm still learning after bass fishing for a while now.

I can't catch a cold with a Beaver. Tried for two years, gave them all away, and haven't bought any since.

Gunfish. I'm a top water nut. I love throwing sammies, spooks, x-walk 13's ( :sleepy2: ), buzzbaits, lunkerpunkers, etc. But haven't caught much on the GF. I've honestly only thrown them 4-5 times. There's just always another bait I'm more confident in.
