Hey-
Thinking about getting a dual axle trailer, but want to keep it in the garage. With swing away tongue it will fit, but I would have to be able to roll it a bit sideways and then push it forward some. This is what I do easily now with my single axle 17 footer.

Is it going to be possible to move this thing around like that? I have heard the dual axles don't move well, but I don't understand why.

Thanks.

No. Dual axle trailers do not easy move because they cannot pivot like a single axle trailer.

Some with a single or dual axle trailer with limited space use the wheel jacks for positioning the trailer in the garage.

About the only easy way to manuver a tandem axle around is with a ball mounted on the front of your Four Wheeler. You absolutely will not just swing the tounge from side to side in a close space to work it over several inches.

I have a tandem axel, and if i rock it back and forth, I can push the tongue of the boat over a foot or two, myself, it's really not that hard.

no way you will move a dual axle like a single unless you can be able to lift high enough from tongue and front axle comes off the ground an you move it like that... or you can go to uhaul or a harbor freight tool sore and get the trailer dolley then you can move a sual axle trailer anywere that thing works best thing they invented to hand move trailers and it is pretty easy to work with too

If you have a get with a big boat good luck on moving it any place. I have one under a 206 Champion. I can't move it by myself any time any where.
