Never pull!!! you can separate the body leaving the head in there. Iv heard match/cigarette works best or duct tape? put the tape over it supposedly it suffocates them u leave it for some set time then peel it off idk just heard it don't know if it works. Iv heard oily lotion also iv only ever done the match thing
Putting duct tape on my stones...lol..... some kind of a hardware store Brazilian!

The best way to remove the b*st*rd is to get tweezers, and pull straight out, grabbing as close to the skin as possible, so as not to pop or crush the body. Pull slowly, and pull straight up, dont twist and turn the body, you will break the tick. Putting tape or vaseline on the tick allows the tick to spit the fluid from his stomach into you, not good, and burning him allows for the same thing. You want to pull him out because that does not allow the fluid to leave him and enter you, the fluid is what contains the yummy lyme and other diseases. After you pull it out, then you can smother it, burn it or whatever devious methods you might think up to torture and kill it. Your best bet is to keep it in a bag, so if you do think you might have something, the doctor can test the tick right away and save you from weeks of antibiotics. Just had one on my asscheek yesterday, but I have had them on my back, chest, legs and 2, on separate occasions, on my ballb*g, talk about panic time.

good to know iv honestly never had one on me and iv been in the woods my whole life I check my self over and get checked over when getting home to Iv never had a problem skeeters on the other hand chew my arse up main reason I wont night fish I love to but every time I go I come back after like an hour with every square inch of exposed skin bitten up. Only thing iv found to help a little is 100%deet or the permithrin that my army uniforms come treated in it gives me a rash but I dont seem to be bothered by the bugs till iv washed the uniform several times or iv worn it for weeks straight but then its the stench of BO that keeps em at bay I think lol

clayton, hard to believe we live fairly close together and you have never had a tick on you!. By any chance do you eat garlic in/on your food? I have been mixing some in my dogs food, after hearing about this, and they have been doing better than last year. I also believe some people are more "attractive" to ticks than others. You can also notice this with mosquitoes.
Funny you say that because I put garlic on EVERY THING garlic salt the hell out my steak, garlic and chives on my taters, whole cloves in my venison roasts . Not to mention the amount of garlic bread i eat
