I hope no MASS politician sees this thread. Right now registration is not required for paddle craft. I hate to bring it up but of the states that do require registration for paddle craft, do all sailboats also have to be registered?
What's next? Waders and innertubes?

New York requires registration if a motor of any kind is used.

me an my wife bought kayaks last year. We were out on a small public lake near my house. We threw all of our stuff away because i had no idea i needed to have them registered. A conservation officer met us at the ramp and jumped my arse because i had no registration. I told him i had no idea i needed a registration and he became ignorant and telling me to quit playing stupid and trying to insult his intelligence. He gave us each a ticket for no registration, luckily my wifes father is a man who knows "people" and we had the tickets evoked. Its only $13 i think for the registration, but i have no sales receipt or the other stuff i need. I have no problem paying, but the state just wants you to prove you paid taxes on it. Personally, i think its a joke.
