I hope I have this in the correct section. :-)
Anyway, I fish a bunch on the local ponds and lakes in my 17.5 ft "luxury" canoe. It is fully loaded with cane seats, royalex coating, two people seating, the whole nine. I am a med student and until I finish school I can't get my dream bass boat like the ones the pros use. Question is, do all tournaments go out on boats? I live in NC and all the ones I've seen they have bass boats. This may sound dumb, but do they have any tourneys with kayaks and canoes? Joe

Very interesting question. Your best bet would be to contact the tournament organizer and ask if they are allowed. If not, consider signing up as a co-angler.

There are some clubs who do tourney's for non bass boats, but I don't think very many. Honestly I would join into a club as a co-angler get some experience and when you do get your bass boat you are ready to go.

That sounds like a great idea. I will do some research and sign up. That will give me some experience and get me ready. Until then I will keep drooling over bass boat pictures lol.
