Has anyone mounted rod holders or oarlocks on the Bass Raider? If so, how did you do it? Thanks.

Hey Sippi, what i was trying to say is that i mounted the transducer to the motor with the bracket then i took the fishfinder base and screwed it down to a piece of scrap paneling then when i want to use it i just use a bungee cord to strap it down .If you look at the picture above it's strapped down kinda like where that yellow bungee is.

Yeah, I was trying to figure out where you put the scrap paneling.  For some reason mine doesn't have a lot of spots that I could think to bungee something down =/  Was thinking about putting some cleats on it, but the wife was throwing fits when I mentioned anything being screwed into the hull.

Andy, I've found a bunch of little clamp things that I'm going to try out for rod holders and Fish finders, when they arrive I'll let you know how they work.  And soon I may even be able to post pictures, lol.

Thanks Sippi. Would you agree that the plastic is not strong enough to use oars and oarlocks? It seems that they would have that as an option if possible.

Yeah, not without some kind of reinforcement.  The "rails" just seem collapsible for anything trying to put any kind of strain on it like an oar would.  And Pelicans website seems pretty devoid of any kind of accessories for it =/

O.K. Andy, told ya I'd have pics up when I got it all setup. It's now mostly setup, I'm just missing the rod holder, but it's made by the same guy who does the fish finder/transponder bracket.Good stuff.

Thanks Sippi, it looks nice. The white rope tied to the handle is for your anchor? I was afraid the handle wouldn't be strong enough. What did you do with the 2 rear wires(to keep them out of the way)? I don't use a front trolling motor. Do you sit on that cushion when fishing? Thanks.

Nah, the white rope on the front is just a kind of "mooring" rope, for "tying up" and keeping control of it. I haven't quite worked out the anchor as of yet, but haven't needed one thus far.

For now the rear wires just run down one of the deck on the floor, I'm going to floor conduit them into the back when I  get a chance.  Do you mean for the trolling motor? or for the transducer/fish finder?  the trolling motor is rear-mounted.

I sometimes sit on the cushion, mostly it's just to satisfy VA's regulation for a throwing rescue device on board all boats.

I'm talking about the red and black wires from the factory(that come out of the right, rear side). They apparently send power to the front trollong motor plug. I'll probably just tape them to the side of boat, because I'm not going to use a front trolling motor.

Ahhh yeah yeah.  I just wrapped them into a bundle next to the battery box for now, but taping them to the side wouldn't be a bad idea either.

dman, did you turn the trolling motor head around? Do you like it better in front like that? Can it be done to any motor? I have the Minn Kota Endura 30 on my Raider. Thanks.

yea, i turned the head around..there is only one screw for that, took 2 minutes total (thats the same motor i use)....I do like it better up front, its easier to control while sitting and easy to view the fishfinder...I spin a little but i have a friend fabricating rudder for me now....buster boats makes rudders but way overpriced:

i just bought my pelican 10e in march and i love it. my dad has been researching ideas on how to make a dolly for it as the trailer we have at smith mountain lake is about 500ft from the water. i use the handles as a place to secure my boat to the dock. i made it easy, as we already have two O shaped screws in the dock, about the same length as the boat, and i got about 10" long pieces of rope and tied one end to a caribeaner and the other end to a handle, so when im coming in i just clip on to the dock. i have mine on a 36lb MK trolling motor but im looking for any outboard for it. i havent got new seats for it yet, but i have found that the frames of my seats dont fit nicely into the grooves on the boat anymore, i kinda have to shove it in there, and my seats wont really slide up and down the boat either.

i have a 36lb thrust MK trolling motor. My boat has the wires that go from the back to the plug in the front, how do i hook up the motor to the front power wise?
