Hey guys,

I was lucky enough to get a deer Tuesday morning. It was my first buck, and I was happy with it. I've attached some pictures for you guys to see. This deer was taken behind my house, in some of the 250 acres behind it. It was a great one-shot kill. I was using a 30-30 with scope. It was wet, and I was hunting from a tree stand, and saw him out of the corner of my eye. There was no hearing him, he just appeared into my line of vision. I waited on a good shot, and it all went great - probably about a 30 yard shot.

Anyway, here are the pics.

Thanks!
TF

Nice deer.  Ol Burleys been laying them down this week.

A buddy of mine hunted behind my house yesterday afternoon.  Saw 20 deer and 8 turkeys.  He passed on 19 does hoping to get a 6-8 point that was  moving around them but never showed itself enough to get itself killed.

I heard that Burley's really been slamming them.  I try to keep up with him some on Facebook.  He got a nice one a while back.

Hope your buddy gets one too!

Great job on your first buck TF, I'm sure there will be many more to come. 8-)

i wish some of you deer hunters would come out to my subdivision and "weed" it out a bit. i love seein em out there dont get me wrong but the entrance to the neighborhood is sorta a major hwy. when u see em, you dont just see one, its always a group, and so often!i think they should seriously sell a few licenses to go out with a bow and arrow. hell its gotten so bad i think the citys gonna have to hire some guys with darts to depopulate a bit!

Way to go on your first buck!  He'll be good eatin'.  I tagged out yesterday on my first deer.  Also a 7 point, although we call it a 4 point or 4x3.  I posted the pics on another thread.  Check it out.

Will do, and thanks guys!  I appreciate it.  Brushhoggin', wish I could help you out.  They've become overpopulated in a lot of cities.  Our capitol city of Charleston issued permits for bow and arrow deer hunting.

Nice job! I've killed a beautiful 8 and a button buck I thought was a doe from far away. Took them both to the meat processing plant to get it ground up. I'll shoot one more to make roasts, stews, and jerky out of.
