Rob,

I was wondering how that turned out. I went to the lake myself and wacked them. The cloud cover really had that top water bite going most of the day.Guess the park still struggling.

How many boats turned out at KOTG? Winning weight?

Lake O is still the place to go. Holiday park is a waste of gas right now IMHO. Soon as the flats start drying up, things should get better.

Kevin, I think there were 43 boats, same as last week. Winner weighed ~16lbs. 16 seems like 60 out there right now.

Me/Jack (shallow thinker) fished it again. Same as last month for us...two bites all day. Last month, we got two of them. This time we got one (dropped a 2.5lb off by the boat). The pathetic part?? I think we're still in the top ~15 or so in overall standings??

I believe four boats ended up in double digits. A bunch of zeros, again. Four of the top five were in the flats...no surprise there, I guess, with the water levels. If I had a clue where the fish are in those flats, I think we would have tried it. The little bit of time I've spent in there the last couple months (~10hours), I haven't seen a fish...not a bass, sunfish, gar, baitfish, frog, nothing... I have friends that know those those flats alot better than me and they're getting blanked, also.

Thank God, the March qualifier is at the Lake. It will be nice to catch some fish for a change....

Yea we were one of the ones out in the flats which are normally pretty decent this time of year. Whats weird is that we didnt see fresh beds or anything.... managed four fish but for under 10lbs.... I'm not going back to Holiday until the next qualifier there in April.....

My old club used to fish there almost every month in 08,09,10,11 with some very good results in Feb.
It is really strange what has happened there at HP. I agree about waiting until April. If nothing is happening then, there must have been a fish kill or something.

You know I have fished HP a lot of years like most of you. A lot of times there have been high waters. So why is it so much worse this year? Part of me thinks it's the Ph in the water. Something is different this year. Not sure what.

Never done well out there myself. Apparently all the resident KOTG people aren't doing so well either. They are usually first to post thier big bags..
