i have a 22 acre lake that feeds a hog barn and the question i have is: how do i make a boat ramp where i can get my bass boat in and out. ive already gotten a back-ho in there and made a good slope down to about 4 foot of water, now i just need to know how to keep the trailer axle from sinking down into the mud. any ideas would be great.

i told everyone i had the fastest 150 hp motor in the world till i got GPS.

does anyone have any "tricks" when changing crankbait hooks? having big hands it makes a clumsy a chore.

id just go fishing for now. GPS fishfinders are great and the on-board chargers are a must. one thing all boats should have is a mini tool kit. screw drivers, a few wrenches, a new set of plugs. a must is a shear pin and a floating wrench, you bever know where that next stump hides.

i have 2 boats. the nitro and a 14' aluminum for the farm ponds. its like having a rich wife and a hot mistress.........sort of

MONEY IS THE ISSUE FOR ME.i HAVE TAKEN TO FIND OUT WHAT WORKS,AS TO WHAT I CAN AFFORD. THE THREE CRANKS I MENTIONED ARE AFFORDABLE TO ME SO THAT IS WHAT I USE. I HAVE NO HANDS EXPERIENCE WITH THE HIGH END STUFF SO I HAVE NO OPINION ON THEM 8-) heres a good tip for guys who like to hunt and toss crank baits. during the hunting season when lakes are down a bit we strap on the .22 pistols and go and hunt lakes that have a lot of rip rap. we always walk the north bank and look for crank baits that have been busted off then washed up on the bank. 2 new treble hooks youre ready for your favorite cranking waters.

the Rapala DT is a good crankbait, i toss it 85% of the time when cranking. the drawback is the price tag that goes along with the bait. i personaly dont like the Rapala Glass Rap. maybe its me but i dont catch the fish with those like the DT series. personaly if i was just starting out id probably buy the Bomber brand baits. the price doesnt kill you and have a lot to choose from.

ive had a park ranger tell me to fire up and head for the boat ramp due to bad storms coming. some electric only lakes round here make you take your prop off before hitting the water.

with rods you dont like? i have a 6'6" rod that drives me crazy due to the handle being too long. has anyone sold rods on ebay?

does anyone have any tips for Perry Lake? ive been fishing the grass early and late and the humps in the water mid-day and not doing very well. any tips would be great.

How did the trip to Cedar Lake go? I have had very little success out there myself meaning catching very few fish, although the ones I have caught have been quality fish, 2-5lbs. I had someone with KWP tell me that they have shocked several fish over 8lb out ther, but I always find the water is like fishing in chocolate milk. the fishing out there is really odd......tuesday i went out there and caught many smaller bass and a large amount of brem while bass fishing. tonight i caught 3 bass, all of them over 18" . i had another fish on that due me breaking rule #1 broke my line on the hook set. all fish caught on a shakey head jig and a pumpkin 5" zoom trick worm and a DT - 6 crank bait.

at the least they well talk you through servicing the unit. not to pry but why is it you cant get the side with the handle off?

thats a shame about your abu. for a gift i got a revo stx and had to "learn" how to toss something as smooth as the piece. getting crank baits out of trees can be a pain.

last night i went to olathe lake. id have a better chance catching bass out of my toilet. tomorrow i plan on cedar lake park.

how was the grass out there? last year it was very hard to fish.
