  1. i heard funkhauser make the quote and although i dont agree with it, the full story is the mayor was brainstorming about the high crime/murder rate in kc,mo and thought that black police would relate better with the black community. hes probably right on the last part. as far as the felons funkhauser was talking about he outlined that as ppl who made a mistake young in life and are now older and more mature. kc, mo is only the highest murder rate city for blacks, at least hes trying to fix it.
  2. tornados used to be a curiosity to me until i live smack in the middle of tornado alley in oklahoma. thats all gone now....lol. im glad you and all are well. (when i say all, i mean your family, not the fishing gear.....)(ok, fishing gear too......)
  3. .....you buy your wife and your mother-in-law a weekend spa on your wedding anniversary so you can run to Table Rock Lake with your brother and fish
  4. this is a great idea. we should have a map with pin-points showing where the baits been and a way to link the pics to the pin points.
  5. 2 things a casting net, which was a blessing due to the fact it was full of crank baits. i cut out the baits and took the rest to the boat ramp. my father in the back while fishing out of a small boat. we (he mostly) were lucky it was a small hook and the barb went in and out when i was casting. seems to me he tied on the biggest crank bait he had after that.......
  6. better safe than sorry. my old 14' boat was only like $14 a year. one week of packing a lunch instead of eating out is how i see it
  7. if youre planning on having the boat on a trailer youre real wide open on what you can get. you could be looking at a few V-bottoms as well. that all changes if youre planning on taking the boat to the lake in the back of your truck.
  8. there are no "rules" for doing this other than red goes to (+) and black goes to (-). you have to decide how you want the wires attached. can crimp on a spade that can sit under the wing bolt that makes for easy removal or you do something that will be there forever. try something and if you dont like it change it.

  10. Raw horse. Wow. And here I thought I was living on the edge when I eat foie gras, which I love... i dont know what that is but i know what turkey fries are..............mmmmmmmmmmm.
  11. that is an impressive speed with that boat. i have a 18 1/2 foot nitro with a 175 hp motor that runs 62-64 mpg gps on a perfect day. the first bass boat i had was a 17 1/2 foot nitro w/115 hp motor and it was all it could do to run 50 mph gps. as far as props go, im not an expert but the trained tech ive talked to say the prop you run should have the boats rpm's maxed or just over at WOT. anything other than that is not whats best for the boat. finaly, if you can get the boat, get it and fish a lot.
  12. when my thumb is in the fishes mouth and i know its mine. a great hook set is nice but when the fish is mine and in the boat thats it for me.
  13. its the CD-ROM, and what i mean by not reading the blank disk, when i put a blank disk in the drive the CD-ROM doesnt know theres a cd in there. after messing with the thing im wondering if some part of the disk drive has not failed.....or the unit doesnt know its a writable unit.
  14. last night i got to re-format my computer (not by my own choice) and now that i have everything re-installed and all the up-dates done the disk drive will not read blank disks. this is odd to me since the same drive reads data disks as well and music disks. any ideas?
  15. the first boat i bought was like the first one you posted. it worked great but theres not much standing up in one. id buy the one that could handle the most weight.
  16. you got one heading for the wall.................
  17. Zoom horny toads.........nothing. Browning Citori rod.........at the time i thought i was getting a good rod cheap. i even liked the rod for a while when using it but after a while i noticed that the rod always felt too heavy in my hands.
  18. i second the wiggle wart. a great lower priced crank bait.
  19. one of my fav. ways to catch summer fish is pitching a tube bait with spinning gear around docks. great producer.
  20. this is universal..... guys dont need a reason to "fish", we just need a place to "fish".
  21. i should because after watching some of the other posters videos i will be taking the video camera on all fishing trips from now on.
  22. the puter tonight. lost all the fishing pics from the last year since i never took the time to put them to a disk. put your pics to disk, youll be glad you did. id like to have a short talk with the ppl who make these viruses. >
  23. i dont know how some of you guys keep your desk so clean. with clean and lube of reels and replacing hooks i have no space on my desk.
  24. we have been using bite me jig heads and zoom finesse worms. green pumpkin was the hot color all year long. i also was dipping the jig heads in black fingernail polish, not sure if that helps.
  25. i still must be the only poster that uses norman speed clips for jerk baits and crank baits.
