  1. thats a very respectable speed. i had a 884 Savage 175 Merc that ran 63 mph GPS. is your motor stock?
  2. cheap lead jig heads and i cut most of the hook off and the eye that the line would be tied too. of late ive super glued the jig head into the worm. this way you can use a heavy or lite weight.
  3. i spooled 2 reels with 8lbs test mono and that seems to help a buttload with the lighter baits. the Sol loves the lighter line. the only downside so far is any time im trying to skip a bait under trees and end up in the trees i have to re-tie cuzz im worried any nick is a break.
  4. im not real good in deep water brush but in waters not much deeper than 8' id toss a rattling jig with a chompers trailer, in the grass a lipless crank bait.
  5. wacky rigged green pumpkin/red flake zoom trick weighted with a cut down lead jig head superglued into the worm. strike king sexy shad popping it through grass
  6. i have real good luck with these baits. im going to glue a reflective eye on the tail of one and see if i catch more fish.
  7. Loosen the screw located in the magnetic brake control dial, twist the sideplate and it comes off: thans so much. im taking the piece back up to BPS and ask them if its "normal". it still handles very well, but im really starting to like the STX much more.
  8. few questions. is your Sol louder that the STX while casting? my Sol makes noticeably more noise. how do i remove the non-handle sideplate on the Sol? thanks
  9. i know this will sound cheap but i picked up 4 of them to hand out as door prizes for our employees plus other fishing baits. i assume they will last a year............lol. i didnt think they were too bad in the store.
  10. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&partNumber=99182&hvarTarget=search&cmCat=SearchResults anyone have a review of this piece?
  11. you wont go wrong with the STX. both of mine were dry as a bone so you might drop a bit of oil on it before you use it.
  12. $55 on ebay will catch you a few new in the box on ebay once in a while.
  13. A young boy enters a barber shop and the barber whispers to his customer, "This is the dumbest kid in the world. Watch while I prove it to you." The barber puts a dollar bill in one hand and two quarters in the other, then calls the boy over and asks, "Which do you want, son?" The boy takes the quarters and leaves. "What did I tell you?" said the barber. "That kid never learns!" Later, when the customer leaves, he sees the same young boy coming out of the ice cream store. "Hey, son! May I ask you a question? Why did you take the quarters instead of the dollar bill?" The boy licked his cone and replied,"Because the day I take the dollar, the game's over!"
  14. i use norman speed clips on a few crank baits and jerk baits. personaly i think its well worth the time to tie finesse baits directly.
  15. my club just fished this lake, the winning boat targeted evergreen trees in 4-8 feet of water.
  16. This is not a good idea. Trust your hook-set, a double or triple will do more harm than good. You are most likely to pull a hook loose. 8-) co-sign sweeping sets work
  17. i like BPS. ive had great customer service from them. anyone that doesnt should see the store manager, they are there for a reason.
  18. its regular email. ive tried to get the sender to tell me how he got my comcast email because i only use it in very few places and the sender wont say how he got it.
  19. i keep getting spam emails from Bassroom: Bass Boat Privacy. they sell little tents that set up on your boat to be used as restrooms........lol. just wondering if anyone else gets these.
  20. if you have a wal-mart close thats where id go. ever tried to get a battery pro-rated through the mail?..............lol
  21. anyone else getting spammed from these ppl?
