i been thinking of how to make a cordless drill into a spooling maching. it cant be too hard to do.

to "rod" was some combo cabelas was selling.........lol. the rod broke when my father set the hook which has its own set of braggin rights in kansas.................heh i told my dad that the fish with its big stuck out jaw and bug eyes was probably a bit slow on the take and thats why he was able to catch him. that statement might have jinxed me since i only boated 2 fish for the day while he did well in the back.

you might have a look at the DT-Sol for cranking. i like my STX but over all after i learn to use the sol i liked it better.

this is the most work ive seeen in quite a while for a $20 rod...........

i removed about 1/3 of the line. it was cheap BPS line they spool for free. one thing about this unit is im very impressed with the drag. the reel as a whole is very nice to use. still not very good at casting but with a lighter rod i think ill get better. thanks for the responces, the rods still on the boat for now.

that im sure of its not.

ima take some line off before i try it tonight. im hoping this isnt another rod that just sits in the corner........lol.
