TM isolator bolts
the heavy kansas wind popped 2 of mine out sat. ended up drilling the head off one bolt and pushing it through. sawz-alls and my boat dont mix. on the flip side i was able to put a great coat of wax over that erea. 2 hours and $11 in part i felt like i got off easy.

New Boat!!
that is a sweet ride. put a ton of hours on it.
-
Reading my new depth finder
id un-plug the transducer which will put the unit in simulation mode and get the book out and spend a ton of time playing with the unit. the next thing to do is plan on a few hours on the water not fishing and playing with the unit.

Ever seen or used one of these
holy smoke.......................lol. a trolling moter and a 9 hp motor might be cheaper.
-
1988 Tracker
one last thing, im not sure that boat is rated for 70 hp. most of those boats were rated for 45 hp.

1988 Tracker

i like the lowrider series too. great crank rod.
-
what do you do with
nope, but i have 2 in hot mustard.........lol. i think im going to take them out, catch one more fish with them and then retire them. theyre not worth anything on ebay since they have new in the box baits for sale now.

Breaking all the fishing rules.
junebug is a hard color to beat in mild stain. dipping the tail adds to the numbers many times.
-
what do you do with
out of production baits? i have quite a few rapala hard baits that are no longer being made. oddly enough i still have a few boxes for the rista raps and fat raps. do you fish them or put them away?
-
retying a lure

Daiwa Reels....
Hmmm, nope, free floating spools also have braking system, it 's just that if not set correctly the spool spins at warp speed. mine spins at warp 4. the scary part is the Daiwa rep at BPS "step the unit up" for me. in his words, the unit should only be used with side play in the spool. :-?
-
Daiwa Reels....
ive used bait casters for 10 years and my Sol still gets away from me. think about getting a backlash from the time you remove your thumb from the spool to the time you turn the handle after the bait hits the water.
-
Daiwa Reels....
id stay away from free floating spools until youve mastered the bait caster more.
-
Spoolin your reel
how you spool your reels is very importain. dont try anything weird.

New Steez

17' Nitro with a 150 Merc EFI
2 things, i knew i had the fastest 150 hp merc till i got gps. i always wondered why my 884 Savage w/175 merc. was so much slower than other boats i read about. on a side note, my 1800 FS w 150 hp merc. will do almost 70 mph at about 2900 rpm's, being pulled behind mt truck on the trailer....
