Wow! So, how many 10 pound bass have you caught at the Lake of the Ozarks? I have heard guys talk about some pretty good numbers, but never size. From what I gather, the docks have become the primary target for most people. 8-) in kansas we call those 20 footers. the fish looked a lot bigger 20 foot away in the water...............lol ;D

first off i stink at spinning gear. i have an old spinning set up from 1991 that might have 10 hours of use, until tonight. tonight i bought a shimano symetre and after the unit was spooled and mounted on the rod i noticed that enless there was preasure pulling line tight on the bail line would just unwind right off the spool. too much line maybe? normal until it gets use? 10 lbs test too big? i can see where this will be a pain every time i slack the line to straighten worms and such. any ideas?

the berkley cherrywood isnt the worst rod out there. i have a few for bank fishing and i like them ok.

i think you take the time to mount the unit and use it as its intended. i mounted mine up high on the live well.

the boat looks like an old star craft ski boat converted. typicaly those were good boats.

i legally carry everywhere, cuzz a policemans to heavy to carry. i used to carry a sawed off single shot 12 ga. for snakes and such but after a while i learned that snakes wont get in your boat 98% of the time if you ask them not too. so now its just the Para LTC for me.

i cant complain at all. we killed the smallmouth last monday at melvern. had good fish and average numbers today @ paola lake. got a call saying miami county bite is on now. were going sunday.

congrads. take lots of pics and fish it as much as possible.

for me they seem to work well. they lasted since 2001 so i have no complaints. if everything else on the boat was as durrable id be happy. my trolling motor gets beat down badly.

if youre not scared of ebay and handy you might look for the abu 4600 C4's. 98% of the time they can be serviced and work like new.
