theres an endless selection of rods in that price range. reading through old threads will keep you busy for quite some time and give you a lot of rods to look at.

LOL think about that at that price how good can it be that's like saying nothing from shimano's bad even their 15 dollars combos that break in a year? thank god theres been no high end gear thats turned out to be a terrible idea and been classified as "junk". ;D also, i agree with RW, look for tried and truely tested gear, youll be glad you did.

im almost ashamed to say i have a trap gun that costs more than my current bass boat...............almost. ;D ;D

most malfunctions on any autoloader is due to cheap ammo. the next problem is cleaning the gun. i have a Browning B-80 that has to have hand loads or its not happy at all.

That's a mean thing to say. We're all here from one reason, we love fishing and want to share our advice. I would agree with everyone get a used boat that will fit your needs and save the rest or pay for your own books. Common having your Grandma pay for part of your education? i think youve missed my point. taking federa tax $$$'s to pay for something you clearly have the money to pay for is IMO wrong. but, maybe im wrong.

thanks guys. believe it or not theres a 2nd and third side to this story. i was letting dad off at the dock and he caught his flip flop in the dock and fell on he wrist. this is tonight: thats a chipped something or other, which probably needs a cast but im having a hard time gettin him to commit to a full cast. both his fish, with help. my old man is old school.............lol

It kinked up on me horribly, and snapped. Lost two good lures on it before switching to a new spool. That one did the same thing to me. The fault was probably all mine, but I'm leaving the stuff alone. Gulp is a great bait... for catfish, and bluegill, and turtles. I can never get the nuisance fish to stop eating it, and have not gotten a single bass on the stuff. Reel Magic did absolutely nothing for me... So, I switched to the KVD line and lure conditioner, and really do get more distance with my casts. My reels feel smoother with it too. i bought the line on RW's advise so if it stinks its all his fault.............lol on a side note i think i have a different type of yo-zuri line so ill see what happens

id like to think this forum had a small part in that. i was impressed i received mail back from a few ppl stating they more or less agreed with us.

i gotta ask why you didnt like the Yo-Zuri line. i just bought a bunch of that.

welcome to the forum. the first problem i see is you cant go look at the boat then decide enless you want to make the drive 2 times. are you going to be able to put the boat in the water and test drive the boat?

TOPS is FEDERAL AID................FEDERAL. and if im not mistaken i as well as all others on this forum have put our hard earned money in that pot. good luck with your boat, we worked hard for it.
