anyone using this line on crank bait set ups?

Yo-Zuri Ultra Soft Hybird line is designed for spinning reels, although you can use it on baitcasters.

You may want to use mono for treble hook baits and since Yo-Zuri is fluoro you may want to rethink using it.

It is great line and I am sure you will catch fish when throwing a crankbait.

Maybe you can consider purchasing a small spool of the Green Mist and give it a try and let us know what happens.  :)

I hope that my cabela's has this line and if it does, I am going to try some.

Sam,

Is there a reason you won't use it for treble hook lures? It is a combination of nylon and fc line and based on that, I would assume it would have sufficient stretch to function like mono which in turn should make it a decent choice for treble hook lures.

just to "see" what happens i loaded up the revo stx with 8lb. mist green. ill be using the set up for trick worms and tossing tubes at docks. full report to be had tomorrow.

I havent tried ultra soft, but i think i might need to. Right now i have trilene xl 12# on my cranking reel, works good enough for me  :)

Road Warrior swears by it . He uses 12# on his bait casters.

I use 6# on my spinning set-up and 12# on 2 baitcasters and have only good things to say about it...

I use ultra soft on my baitcasters, and have no problem.  For my crankin rods I use a medium or moderate action.  Hook set isn't as harsh.

I use ultra-soft on baitcasters only. The only exception is on my lipless rod. I guess I'm the odd man out. 10lb.

No problems here.

I have been using it on my crank bait setups for a good while & like it. I use the 10# test.
