You can also try dragging it like a carolina rig. We do that quite a bit here in oklahoma and somtimes that catches them when hopping it won't. It just takes a little practice, The one thingo remeber when fishing a jig is to set the hook as soon as you feel the bite so the fish doesnt have time to spit it out. Hope this helped you some.

I just wanted to let everyone know that fishes jigs that I tried these new football jigs out and the seem to be pretty good. They don't have a rubber collar, they are hand tied kinda like a hair jig. I found them on another bass site. I got tired of throwing the jewel jigs so I looked for a new football jig to throw and I found these guys.
