  1. well i guess topping the oil off helped, because after i top off the oil and took it out, i didnt have anymore beeps, i didnt run it long enough for it to over heat today, i guess, i only ran it for 20 min. i didnt read the reply about overheating untill i got back, maybe in a couple days i'll run it for 1 hr., that should tell me if its overheating. i'll also check the wires to the res. cap. thanks
  2. i'll know tonight. i just top the oil off. hope thats all it is.. it was about 3/4 full.
  3. i have a murcury 135 hp motor, seems to run great, but sometimes when i crank my boat, i start getting a beeping sound. didnt seem to effect the running of the motor, so i usually dont worrie about it. but when i was getting ready to load the boat up last night , the beeping became continual beeeeeeeeeee ing sound. my battery was low, but my oil and gas all seem fine and i had not warning lights on. i'm sure there is a simple answer, i'm just a nubie, does anyone have any ideas?
  4. :-X i,m not new at bass fishing, but i have never own a bass boat before. I bought my first boat the other day and almost sunk it. it is a 1984 hydrasport bass boat with a 145 murcury motor. it has 3 holes located in the back bottom middle of the boat. i pluged the middle one. i quess the other 2 were to drain the live wells. I was only in the water for 30 min, and 20 min was spent with the motor in idel, while i tried to understand why i could'nt put it in gear, long story short, i lower the choke and was able to go. i went slowly thru the wake zone, the gave it a little more gas, it felt like the back end was going to go under, i never got in plane off, or even close. i turn around and headed back, the boat just felt heavy and the back end seem low to the water, and way after getting it loaded up, i unplug the hull and water came pouring out. what did i do wrong? any advice would be good for this newbie
