  2. Heading up to Rainy in Ontario on Friday with the wife for 4 days of smallie and pike fishing. 6 pound smallie and 25 lb. pike are the goals. I'm pretty confident we can do it although with my luck, she'll be the one to do it. That'll be ok though, I'll have just as much fun watching her catch them than if I would myself.
  3. They've also got a Boyd Duckett signature series which to me looks exactly like a carbon copy of the Puls-R. Anyone know anyhing about those?
  4. Is anyone considering buying one of these? It's designed by Ken Whiting, fomerly of Airrus, now with e21. The rod won best of show at the last Icast and it's actually made from carrot fibers. Anyone have any opinions?

  6. I believe they do. While they may not have a memory like you or I do, I would think that when they have an extremely violent encounter with a given bait, they're going to remember it for a bit. It might be for only a short period of time which would explain the new hot bait syndrome and why the old tried and true doesn't produce all that well on pressured waters.
  7. My first post here! It's been my experience that hard jerkbaits are great in the spring and okay the rest of the year. Once spring has given away to summer most, if any jerkbaits I use will be weightless t-rigged plastics. In the spring I mainly use the husky jerk in the silver baby bass color, it's a discontinued color but they're all over e-bay. After spring I'll occasionally throw pearl or albino Zoom flukes.
