I grew up fishing the Marin Reservoirs. I would fish alpine lake. Close to SF. Watermelon Candy Jackall Flick Shake (any size) on Jackall Head is like crack there for the bass

ya the never ending 100 degree heat in riverside county don't really help the bite, however i have had a steady bite but nothing over 3 lbs.

My brother Reed (Rayre) on here is on the Oregon fishing team in the National Guard College FLW stren series (collegefishing.com) and fished clear lake this last saturday. He got in the top ten but it was tough until the last 30 minutes. Here are some pics... Here is a video of his weigh in.. He ended up with 3... (limit) but his partner only had 2...really coulda used that last fish to get into the top 5 if not top 3. In this college tourney series you weigh in 6 (3 each)...cannot share fish Pretty fun day on the water...caught this guy after the tourney 3.12 lb

Thanks for the info...It's not a huge deal if i can't get out. I just thought it would be fun. I will see what they have (if anything). However if they are renting, I am sure others will have the same idea lol

I am trying to go up and watch my bro in a tourney on Sat at Clear Lake and was wondering if there are any boat rentals open now. Also what kind of boats? I looked around and saw "disney rentals" and the ones at konocti. Is the 200+ dollar rental for a little aluminum boat? Anyone know anything about these? I have access to a Achilles inflatable with a nice 4 stroke but would you have to get that inpected (quagga mussle) ? Any info would be great. I wish i had a lake / bass boat but just sold my Farallon and will be in the market soon. Thanks for any help.

I have fished my whole life in the SF bay area and own a 25' Farallon. After fishing hardcore for ocean species, I have moved towards bass for a number of reasons. In the last six months i have started getting serious about Bass fishing and will be putting my entire fishing passion into bass fishing when i move to Corona in a couple months. If there is anyone from Riverside that knows the area, any information would be greatly appreciated. It is going to be a major change in living environment and would be cool to meet some bassers in the area.
