Had an hour or so to kill after work today and ran up to the pond.  All my gear was on the boat so I grabbed an old reel my buddy had over here and put it on one of my old junk rods laying around.  Glad the stuff was laying around the garage.  In less than 10 casts this momma hit.  Scales were on the boat but I'm guessing she would of been high 5's low 6's.  Biggest ever out of the pond was 4lbs 8oz.

Next time try putting the fish next to your rod or a dollar bill, anything to indicate tie size of the fish.

There is no way to tell how big that fish is.

Agreed, but I wasn't planning of catcing anything of size. There is noway to tell size without a scale so it really didn't matter to me. I was pretty convinced the fish was 6 something and frustrated with myself for not being prepared. Even with a rod or dollar bill we will never know for sure. In this case you will just have to trust me. Sorry.

Small ponds can yield surprising results.  I was teaching a friend how to use a baitcaster while on a lunch break last fall, and this 4 lb. 5 oz. LMB took my jig while I was explaining pitching, LOL.

Very cool.  That's what makes ponds so much fun.  Just never know....
