Looking for input on a compact football jig
Hello All, I'm looking into building a compact football jig with a smaller hook. Right now it would probably be a 3/8 and 1/2 but I'm stuck between what hook to use. What do you all prefer for all of you that use this type of jig? Any other ideas that you have please share. Thank you Mike

Prop question
I looked on Mercs website and it looks like you can do it. If you shop around you can probably find a SS alot cheaper then 1k Mercury Marine | USASpitfire | Mercury Marine

Torn on the dropshot
I mostly use a ML 7'6" rod I built with 5lb line. I fish in gin clear water. Hook is a Owner Down Shot I use a lot of Robo Worms and Missile Magic Worms. 1/4oz tungsten skinny weight. Thats pretty much what I always use.

Has anyone tried the St Croix Physyx line, and did you feel like the handle was too small or lacked grip compared to their other lines?
I've fished one for a bit. It was a nice rod but not the Extreme they make. That thing is insane.

Air Carbon Guide Wrap Mesh
I thought it was pretty easy. The guide foot sticks to the ACM. From there I just pressed it down and wrapped it around. I use latex gloves since the stuff is so tacky. Also if you use it make sure you use color preserver before epoxy. Thats what NFC recommends.

Question for the experienced guys or pros..
For me it depends on how rough the water is. I'd try and fish the main lake points but if its bad I'd find some docks or other structure probably in a cove in deeper water.

MotorMate Outboard Motor Locking System vs Adjustable Head Transom Saver
The one I am currently using is a DD26. I really like that one. I've never tried the one Jigman posted. I'm not a fan of the trailer mount ones.

Air Carbon Guide Wrap Mesh
I've built about 5 rods with it so far and several buddies hook holders. I really like it. I built a all carbon fiber mesh rod with carbon fiber handles and reel seat. Its super light and sensitive.

drop shot...
I have a dedicated DS rod. I do not like tying them up so I never take it off unless it breaks or retie. I put the hook in the hook holder then wrap the line around the bottom of the rod and hold it in place with a hair band.

Seaguar Pounce Leader

Ghost keeps shutting off
There was a wiring update in the foot pedal a couple years ago that this could fall under. It could also be the heading sensor. Mine would do that randomly and once the heading sensor was replaced it stopped and has worked great since. Those two would be my guess if its not something with the batteries, wiring, etc. Link https://www.lowrance.com/globalassets/lowrance/help-and-support/tb-164372-ghost-over-current-protection-11_07_22.pdf?srsltid=AfmBOoq35DSncCWOCmEvN0zREeQDeWcrPoNi5kqKvnTu51WkWQBFTEYN
