Scary statistic - Half of all fishermen do NOT renew their licenses.
I agree with this. My theory is if they did a report back to 2018/19 I bet its in the same ball park now. It seems the outdoor industry in general is going through a reset to pre covid. Just my theory.

New ned bait mold.
Thats cool. That would work great for vertical jigging walleyes on the Detroit River.

Recs for waders
I have a pair of Simms breathable I got at Cabelas on sale about 6-8 yrs ago. I trout fish in Jan/Feb and sometimes its down to 10 deg. I layer up and warm as can be. I think I paid about $200 for them on sale. I recommend the wader with the sock and then buy boots.

Living Rubber Jigs vs Silicone Jigs
I added the Living Rubber jigs awhile back due to the demand for them. I sell quite a few but nothing like the silicone skirts. IMO it has its place. For example fall rates, bigger profiles, and the movement of it. At times it does produce better than silicone. IMO.

One of my favorites is GP purple gold. Always been my go to tube.

Suggestions for off shore brush piles in a newer lake?
I would see if the fish are just around it and if they are I'd use cranks, jerkbait, (moving baits). If they are in the brush I'd toss a jig in there and rip them out.

Can't get the Bite
I've been fishing a gin clear lake lately. I noticed when I went from 8lb to 6lb line drop shotting my bites went up and so did the fish size. I'm really considering trying 4 or 5lb(if i can find it.) Flouro Line.

Tips to get a drop shot to land softer/quieter
I'd probably drop it down to 1/8 oz or 3/16. I've been using a 1/4 for 20-25 fow.

Air temps and topwater
I'd probably move to a more subtle topwater like a spook or popr over a buzzbait. Topwater is still an option.

Crankbait Question
I just started fishing a really clear lake and using a 6xd. I wouldnt throw it in anything less then about 12 but even at 12 its going to drag the bottom. Big time. I was fishing in about 20 FOW on the side of a point pulling down the the 18-20 ft range. Worked good.

How do you fish your Drop-shot?
It really depends on how I'm fishing one. I've been dropshotting a lot this year due to the gin clear lake I've been fishing alot. 1. Cast out and let it sink to the bottom. Engage reel and tighten line. Then I will let it sit there for a little bit.(varries on time). Then drag it a little and let it sit. repeat. 2. Drop striaght down to the bottom right in the fishes face and let sit and maybe twitch just a little. I have found less movement with the rod is better. I dont seem to catch fish on it when I add action.
