  1. Thanks for the replies. I know its not from the livewell or splashing over because I have never filled the live well or had it in rough water. The livewell never took one water till sunday and I think that was from the drain tube leaking, its kind of cheap looking. Hopefully I can check it out this weekend to get a better idea of whats goingon.
  2. I just bought a 2009 pt170. I have had it out a few times and I noticed it takes on water. Its not enough to panic but I have to pull the drain plug and let it drain for a while. I know its not from water splashing over the sides or anything like that. The first time I thought the drain plug was loose so I made sure that was tight the next time out and it still had water. The livewell was taking on water to, about an inch and the drain was tight. So I have no idea about that. Im just wondering if anybody had this same problem or any ideas before I take it to the shop. I might try filling it with hose in the driveway and see if I can see it coming out somewhere. I think it might be the fittings from the livewell but I dont know for sure. Hopefully I didnt buy a lemon. Thanks in advance for the help.
  3. I might go tomorrow if its not to windy, which judging by today it probably will be. I'm just south of joliet. Hammy

I'm from Illinios and I usually fish a private rec club with clear water. I usaully go fishing about 2-3 times a week on average. I own a 14' jon boat but sometimes fish from shore but not very often. I don't remember how I found this site but I'm glad I did. There is so much info here it's awesome. Now I will have something to do once the ice hits and I can't go fishing anymore. Thanks, Hammy
