Anyone ever order a reel from Amazon?
Last summer a guy I work with ordered a Pflueger President combo. Took more than two weeks to get it and it came in broken. He returned and reordered. The second one never arrived. He had to get a refund. That was his first and only time ordering a rod from Amazon.

Better shot of the measuring tape and foglights. Railblaza Rod Holder II on front deck, one on each side. I keep them turned up for a convenient place to stick a rod while I release a fish. Adjust them horizontal to troll baits. Fire Extinguisher mount is visible on the lower left. Reese fooled around and fell in the water! But he’s ok. He sunned himself on the wide open deck and dried out.

A few more photos… This shows the new graphics on the side we had made. Also my awesome Nissan Frontier! Love that truck! Dad fishing from the boat. The new rod rack, corner table with dual cup and bait holders, and fog lights mounted on them are visible. Me and Reese, my little dachshund who loves to go fishing. Another view of the rod holders, corner table and fog lights setup. Rods are secured with bungee, just press them in. Reese sniffing a fish! Also shown are the fish finder and horn grill that I mounted in the console. This shows the paddles on the walls, and the interior of the boat somewhat also. Dad’s tackle bag is where that bench would have been if we’d gotten it. I’m glad we didn’t. Also the fire extinguisher is just barely visible on the lower left. I fabbed a mount from a 4” PVC coupler and a 4” cap and mounted it on the floor. Extinguisher fits snug in it but can be easily pulled out. Fish finder is on a swivel so it can rotate.

Ok. First, we ordered it from the dealer, but we had it customized somewhat. They all come with one bench that has a livewell inside it. We left that out because we wanted an open floor plan. My wife uses a zero gravity recliner in that spot instead. Also had 5 seat bases installed to give me options on seat placement. After I got it, I installed an electric horn in the console, a Lowrance Hook 5 fish finder, and a complete electrical system with a complex array of relays to make the lights work how I wanted them to, and with a fuse bank and lots of switches and lights on the dash. I added a 12v port, USB ports in two locations, a voltmeter, interior lights all around, four front facing fog lights mounted between the rails, replaced the corner cup holder/rod holders with one of my own design so it holds up to 8 rods total. I built those using polyethylene cutting boards for durability and no rot. Also used more of those cutting boards inside the rear storage area to mount the electrical fuse panel. Also added a 50A breaker and 6 gauge wire for a 54 pound Watersnake trolling motor. Built a mount for the motor from extra thick 1” cutting boards and some stainless steel shelf brackets for added support. Added a socket for a stern light on the rear deck so I don’t have to raise the bimini for a light at night. Added clips on the inside wall to hold two emergency paddles. Built a fire extinguisher holder from gray PVC pipe to mount it on the floor between the console and rail so it is more accessible but also mostly hidden. Modified the way the stern light plugs up and disconnects so it is a socket instead of just a dangling wire. Replaced the exterior graphics to something more pleasing to us. We went with neon green themes to accent the blue color. My wife didn’t like the small puffy lettering of the original logo so we took inspiration from the small oval logo on the front gate and had a much larger one designed at a local shop. There may be more but I can’t think of any right now. Oh yeah, a peel and stick ruler about 24” long on the gate for measuring fish. Also two Railblaza Rod Holder II holders on the front deck for trolling baits. Also added stainless springs to the bimini straps to withstand strong gusts of wind and bouncing on the waves. This really helps! Also added rubber bump padding on the bimini frame at all the contact points when it is folded down to prevent wear. Also fabbed a new gate latch from black cutting board. The stock latch didn’t even survive the trip home due to wind pressure on the gate. The new one is going on 4 years old and still like new. Wow, I just keep thinking of things and have to edit this post to add them. Day one of ownership. Towed home with a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe. It towed it really well, but I traded it off for a 2023 Nissan Frontier shortly after. 20HP Tohatsu outboard. Boat at night. Trolling motor mount, and my first fish caught in the boat.

Mine is a 2022 Paddle King Lo Pro Angler. Small little pontoon, 13’3” in length with a 11x7 deck. It’s not nearly as small feeling as it seems when describing it. Has a 20HP Tohatsu outboard. I have customized and modified it quite a bit, particularly with the electrical system. Also working on building out my kayak. It is a Pelican Rally 100XP. Bought it in late September and had it out three times before it got too cold to go. I’ve added quite a few mods and accessories to it since then so I can’t wait for spring to get back on it!

Spinning reel "grinding"
If that were the case, the cover wouldn't fit back on either. What kind of lubricant did you use? I use Super Lube for all my gears in all reels now, and just a light machine oil in bearings.

I do understand. Bigfoot didn't perform miracles, heal the sick, raise the dead, raise FROM the dead, then send disciples to tell the world, and have people keep the faith ever since. I can look out my window now and see proof of God's existence. It's not blind faith. There's proof for one, not the other. Thousands saw the things Jesus did. How many say they've seen Bigfoot?

There's plenty of proof if you're willing to see it.

Drunk Co Worker What Do I Do?
I can tell you right now, I know what I'd do. I'd turn him in and not feel the least bit bad about it. Even if he lost his job, that's his fault and his problem. He's how old? Not a child, plenty old enough to know better. I'd do it even if it virtually guaranteed me to lose whatever election was coming up. Further, if the voters voted me down over that then I'd also be glad for that too. I wouldn't want any position where I had to compromise my principles to get it. Every member of that union ought to have this same attitude, agree with you, and uphold you in this decision. Those who make it known that they don't should be set straight immediately. Those who still don't agree get demoted to "step-brothers". Thee end.

I'm not sure what you meant with that question but it seems to suggest (or at least I'm reading it to say) that believing in one is about the same as believing in the other. Rest assured they are nowhere close to the same. None the less, your suggested percentage of believers is probably pretty accurate.

Fishing An Area Deeper In The Forests That Has Bf Reports By Night Fisherman.
I personally don't believe it exists. But I also don't believe all those people out there on TV are actually searching for it either. Some may be, but I think a lot of them are just out in the woods at night with cameras, throwing rocks at each other, making noises, and creating a bunch of dramatic looking video footage so they can earn a paycheck selling entertainment to the masses. I think the makers of these shows are purely faking everything they're showing on camera. It's not Bigfoot throwing rocks, it's people hiding in the bushes saying "this is gonna look great on camera". The beauty of this kind of filming is it doesn't require a shred of proof. They just film some Blair Witch movie kind of close ups of people talking seriously (and half scared) about seeing or hearing something in the woods, follow this with some tense, silent moments, some incomprehendable whispery dialogue exchange, then suddenly dramatic music, shaky camera images, people yelling and screaming, bleeped out curse words, rocks being thrown in on them, and then.........commercial! In just 15 minutes, you can save 15% on car insurance. So easy, even Bigfoot can do it. Or, my personal favorite, Jack's Links! Messin' with Sasquatch! They're selling TV and products all at once. It would probably be a total shock to them if Bigfoot really did walk out of the woods on them. I'm guessing not a one of the so called searchers would be prepared for it, and may even think it was a prank, even though they're there supposedly to find the thing.

New Casting Rod Bps Or Cabellas
I say either of those are good choices. I have two of the Cabelas Tourney Trail rods and find they're well made, strong, and just an all around quality rod. Worth more than their retail prices, and an outright steal when on sale. I feel the same way about the BPS rods too, but the Cabelas rods are what I have. Now, the Cabelas Tourney Trail rods in the MH are a MF tip, a good choice for crankbaits but not what I'd call a jig or spinnerbait rod. They're just not stiff enough, and really are not sensitive enough for that either, at least for me. I have a heavy power also, and it is definitely stiff enough, but still not sensitive enough for me. I use mine as a spinnerbait rod, or frogs, but not really jigs unless they're large enough I can't help but feel them on the bottom.

Line Conditioner?
Switch to KVD Line and Lure and that oily problem will go away!I was just at Bass Pro Shops recently. I didn't need anymore KVD since I still have about a half a bottle left. WAIT, did I say a half a bottle? As in ONLY a half of one single bottle? I can't have that, so I bought a backup bottle. $10 for a bottle of liquid magic seems like a steal to me. I swear I think this stuff would grow hair if I rubbed it on my bald head. If you have hair, use it as shampoo, it will strengthen your roots and repair split ends. Rub it on bruises and the pain goes away. Open wounds heal before your very eyes. Use it as eye drops for the blind and it restores sight. Use it in already seeing eyes and it gives you X-Ray vision. Works well as an energy drink also, with an added bonus of being able to fish like KVD for about 30 minutes, so save it for those last few casts in important tournaments. Dip your lead sinkers in it and it turns them to gold. Wash your car in it and it repairs dents and dings on contact. Put some in the fuel as an additive to improve gas mileage. Add it to contaminated water to purify for drinking. Seriously, jokes aside, KVD line treatment is the real deal. At this point they could rename it as Snake Oil and bottle it in rattlesnake skins and I'd still buy it.

Lew's?
The reel alone retails for $200. If it's in good condition it's a steal at the price it's listed at. The TFO rods are supposed to be good too. I've never used one but I think Gary Loomis' name is attached to it. I think he designed them. What are you doing up here this far away from the Off Topic area?

Bps Pro Qualifier Ibs Vs Pro Qualifier Dbs
I think you'll like the newer one best. Both are good reels but the ITB braking system on the older PQ is just a hybrid magnetic that uses centrifugal force to increase magnetic braking only, while the newer PQ actually has a separate centrifugal braking system complete with braking shoes, and also a magnetic system as well. Two independently functioning systems that can be used together, or each alone. Also the newer PQ comes in many different gear ratios, unlike the old one.

April Fools Jokes...lets Hear Them!
That's hilarious, but he might remember this little prank when it comes time for a raise.

Why Are Lines Popping Off The Reel?
If they're spinning reels it's probably due to line twist, and also being fresh line that hasn't conformed to the spool yet. KVD line conditioner will help. Also wrapping line on the spool correctly when first put on will also lessen this. I think those winding machines they put line on with just do it way too fast and not in the correct manner.

New Bps Online Sale
Just checked the BPS site, and they now show only the 7.1:1 and 6.4:1 ratios available, and in left hand only. This might mean they're just out of stock, but don't they normally list that with each model instead of removing the listing for it? This looks to me like they're killing the model.
