What is your #1 fish catching tactic
junebug yum dinger on a spotsticker head. From 1 down to a 100ft 2-beetle spin

Kentucky Bass (Spots)
also wanted to add, one of the best baits I've found in a long time is the spotsticker, it's nothing but a round jig head, long hook and I rig a senko type worm weedless. The vertical fall is great and they will eat it up.

Kentucky Bass (Spots)
Down here in west central bama we have several great places to chase spots within a hour or 2. Holt lake on the warrior river is the one I fish the most, it has a very good population of spots. The biggest I've got sofor is 5 but I know that there's some much bigger. Since I havent yet fished for smallies I think you'll find they have a lot in common, both like currunt, both like cooler water and both are deeper than a LM. Plus they both fight a lot harder:) I normally fish small worms, jigs, and CB. They tend to school, so find 1 find more. Deep wood is hard to beat if it's close to current. Here's a picture of the biggest spot I've seen up close,6lbs of mean green fighting machine:) This spot came off a CB early on lake mitchell on Feb 5th in current, once the current was cut off the bite stoped. Also, night with black spinner single blade SB yo-yoing will get your arm jerked off good luck Danny

Son's first lunker
IneedAnewScreenName-98375 replied to IneedAnewScreenName-98375's topic in General Bass Fishing Forumyeah, he'll be 14 on the 22nd. He's a dang good fisherman for sure, every time I teach him something he has a habit of out fishing me, heck, I've seen him outfish everyone on a pier, outfish everyone on a boat during a offshore run, if it's a fish he'll catch it. This year will our first of him and myself fishing some tournaments and I look forward to having him with me. I need some help

Will This Work?
many years ago I fished with a freind who is know for flipping, pitching jigs. That day I learned that I better know how to fish them. He got 3 over 5 and this was in the middle of the alabama summer. Now, I have one tied on every time I go. It's a must have bait in my opinion. And I did just take jigs with me for a few trips to better understand them. good fishing Danny

Son's first lunker
Went down to a lake in middle alabama saturday, it's in the town of Livingston. It's one of the best lakes in the state for big fish. He had this one around 6 plus another around 2. His first crankbait fish.He outfished the ole man again:) some guys that were also fishing, had a 12, 7 and a 21lb carp. Trying again next weekend for a 10 tight lines Danny

What is your favorite fishing show?
I've been following Joe Thomas for a while now and I agree he's due. I like his show also, good info and his mindset before, during and after tourneys. check out Angler on tour.
-
How did you /Who got you started in fishing?
like someone else said, I really can't remember not fishing. There's a picture somewhere at my grandmothers house of me in diapers with my grandfather probably around 2-3 or so. My dad was one of the first members of BASS and fished and live around Ross Barnett in Miss. First tournament we fished together I was 12 and we won, got my picture in the local paper and was HOOKED There's nothing I would rather be doing. Tight lines and good fishing Danny

Will the very-best crankbait... please stand up!
Been using Banditt CB since 1987 or so and I have to say their the best without a doubt. Catches fish and you can drag them though just about any kind of wood cover without getting hungup. I need to go buy a few more

What is your favorite fishing show?
ESPN has the new saturday lineup on thier website, starting with BassCenter a play on sports center. Plus there's a few new shows that sound interesting. I like most shows, I enjoy fresh and salt water so I do watch most, the one with the 2 canadian ladies is sorta hard for me to watch. courtney and somebody. They seem to be really really trying but for some reason just doesnt seem to work for me anyhow. watching roland trout fish at this moment:) tight lines Danny
