Lost a bass from drag not set right. What do you do?
Its relative. You took my comment out of context. I would hardly call that taking your comment out of context. Seriously, that is what you wrote. Perhaps the bass in N.Y. have soft fleshy jaws... but not the larger ones I catch down here in Ga. and Fl.. In fact, I have never heard another single soul say they had soft fleshy mouths. Ever. Thank you! You proved to me and all the rest you do not know the meaning of the word context, LOL. Here is the original quote: I highlighted the context for the folks that don't know. That all said, do a search for Paul Roberts' crankbait hookset thread, and you'll see another point of view I have to offer. Now, get on with it, and go fishing and post a report, or sit there at your keyboard with your huge internet ego. Man, I love internet fisherman. :

Rapala Sure Set hooks?
Not all colors are available without the SS hooks.

what should i do
In NY, you simply report the online sales on your state return, and pay then.

Rain gear...
Frog Togs for emergencies, but if you need real rai gear, take a look at Cabela Guide Wear. You want the non insulated shell.

Senko Reel/Rod combo
I wouldn't over think it too much. Get her a combo that feels right to her, and will last. I think you'd do well to spend about $120. Save the rest for hooks and bait

You mean Rivera, not Mendoza.

Arkey Football Jigs
I missed it too. I'm so used to Arkie referring to a head style, I forget they are a brand as well. Footballs are best for working rocks.

WhooooHooooo!
Congrats! I spent many years learning to fish out of a similar boat, but mine only had oars, LOL. Definitely take a boater safety course, and study the rules of navigation. Wear a PFD! I have a Mustang AI, and I forget its even on. Another tip is to go up to the USCG website, and see what it takes to pass a Coast Guard inspection. That sticker will save you many stops by CG and Sheriff patrols.

Yeah, but in 6 tries in Yankee Stadium, he is now 1-3. Nice record for the self proclaimed, most influential player ever to come into the stadium. At least he knows who his daddy is by now.- WORLD SERIES
Pedro was smiling when he walked off the mound..a loser.- Lost a bass from drag not set right. What do you do?
Its relative. You took my comment out of context. A bass's mouth is much softer and fleshy that pike, trout and salmon. I do agree, many have their drag set more than necessary. The exception is when I fish heavy cover, and I have it set to slip just enough to prevent rod breakage.- Windows 7?
They are just two different tools, with some crossover. I use both. They each have strengths. Want to have some fun? Join a photography forum and proclaim your love of one over the other. Poopstorm will ensue, one the likes you have never encountered here, LOL.- WORLD SERIES
Rings....Phhht! Pedro gets shelled tonight.- How do you hold your fish?
For unhooking: For photos: Or like this: Smallies are a little different. usually belly land them, small or large: Posing is the same, but go easy on the mouth process: Here is a tip I leaned from Noel Good: when unhooking a fish with a face full of trebles, lay it on a wet rubber net laid on the deck. This will give you a slick working surface, and protect the slime coat. I thought that was pretty neat.- Windows 7?
Macs are for blouse-wearing-poodle-walkers. ;D- I think I've gone too far...
Yeah, I will have a couple....depends on the agreement (if any) I can reach with the manufacturers. I'd rather use something like a Daiwa Goldcast, though. They are more like a spinning reel with a closed face, roller guide and all, and very durable. For the most part though, my angle would be to put great gear in a beginner's hands or show someone not sold on high end gear the difference a few bucks can make. This would make such an agreement with a manu much more attractive.- I think I've gone too far...
Depends on what you're doing, and if you are taking guests out, too. I'll be adding a dozen or so combos for an upcoming venture...- Arkey Football Jigs
Arkie style heads were designed for wood.- P-line CXX
10# is a decent, do everything line. 12# and heavier is rope, LOL. The difference is that the heavier lines keep the bait afloat in the water column and give you a bit more material when fishing in abrasive waters. I9f you get hung up with 12# or heavier, good luck breaking off.- Humming Bird Depth Finder
Awe Man!!! Sorry, I didn't post the link to the online manuals.... Here it is: http://www.humminbird.com/support/FAQ.aspx?faqid=72- What type of line to use for Pitching and Flipping docks?
Not so fast....There is Fireline Braid and Tracer, which are braids. But, There is the original Fireline and Fireline Crystal, neither of which are braid. They are fused lines. Perhaps that is what he's using.- What type of line to use for Pitching and Flipping docks?
Heavy weed cover? 50 or 65 lb. Power Pro.- P-line CXX
I use 10 and 12# for spinnerbaits, unless they are very light. Then I'll use a rod with 8# spooled up.- Tubes. Couple questions
I'll go up to 3/4 oz. But usually 1/8 to 3/8 oz. is just right. - WORLD SERIES
