That ALWAYS works....
In reality, if someone tells me I can only fish one lure, then I'll do another hobby A spinnerbait still works almost all the time.

Everything failed, you can only get one - your choice - which is it.

Don't comment if you're just gonna be cute. You flipped your canoe, and can only save one rig. What is tied on it.

Favorite hot sauce...
It is broken. No, the soap people are broken, too. Tabasco is probably the weakest sauce in my cupboard. The knock on it is the strong vinegar taste, often interpreted as "heat." I like it for the smoky oak taste it adds but put up with the acid from the vinegar. But seriously, this is the right answer. It takes time, and some acclimation for any sauce the registers on the Scoville scale. Interpretations of "heat" can be different, too. I can deal with a fair amount of Dave's Insanity (this ONLY adds heat) mixed with another sauce on something fatty, like wings but a raw Jalepeno can trip me up sometimes. Same for Thai chili peppers, they're ok in a stir fry but if I try them alone, it's no bueno. The pallet is a weird thing, and some get trained towards certain flavors. Siracha used to taste like battery acid to me, but the past few years, I put it on everything.

That ALWAYS works....
Other than ice out, I have yet to encounter a situation where a spinnerbait does not work. You could say the same for a jig, but in my hands, the spinnerbait can cover more water quickly, and be fished like a jig, if necessary. I think someone more proficient could answer with a jig as their bait, and I certainly throw one more than a spinnerbait. Faced with needing just one fish on a truly terrible day, I'll tie up a spinnerbait. I don't buy into that, "they were biting this bait today," dogma. I think it's something else, that can't really be figured out by any of us. We just assign these absolutes to confirm our bias or make excuses. Put the bait in front of a biting fish, and you can catch it. Maybe?

That's my oldest son @ 3:15 putting the sandwich on the rail. Charlie is my grandfather.

A spinnerbait, hands down.

Put one of these in your boat.

Yak Attack Switchblade for Transducer - How to Make it Work?
I did this to my old arm, which was all plastic. I also used that scrap to put a 45 brace to strengthen the vertical arm. Mine sits about 2" below the lowest point of the hull. You can kind of see it here. It's not that deep:

Pelican 10e - Bass Raider Transom Reinforcement
My last boat had the coveted "Unlimited" designation for HP on the plaque.

Will this work ?
That's better than nothing, but a tender will help them last longer.

1/4oz bladed jigs...
Too light for my taste. All of mine are 1/2 oz. I keep it simple.

This setup doesn't wiggle at all in the water. Do you have a pic of yours?

Pics? This is my old version of their arm on a track using a screw ball:

Confused about type, size, pound test line
I would just respool the reels with 6/8# mono of your choice, and tie lures direct to that. You seem new enough to this that overcomplicating the rigging will result in more headaches than the small improvement (assuming everything is tied up right) than it's worth. Get some fresh line, and get fishing.

There's probably a good reason there isn't much out there: injury lawsuits. You're better served getting a boat with a USCG rating for a bigger motor.

I'm more of a DIY, but if you have the connections....

Kayak - Winter Storage and Care
If you set your kayak on fire, you'll get rid of them for good.

If you could buy one high end rod and reel setup, what would it be for?
As long as it fits the definition, “intricate and refined delicacy” you can call it finesse.

Will this work ?
Should be no problem. I'd get a battery tender for long term storage instead, though.

Winter fishing zoom call series
Could be fun, I can try to get in on it.

Kayak fishfinder
No signal means something is wrong. Been running SI for over 6 years now. 2.5-3 mph is plenty to get good readings, and is a zero effort speed, whatever your propulsion. Adjust the scroll speed as needed.

I’d get a 7’ish MH/fast that would work for a lot of things.
