  1. I hook the bait to the keeper, leaving some slack in the line. Then, while holding the line, gently spin the rod to wrap the terminal line around the blank a few times, and loop it over the first guide.
  2. I was told it was to avoid bringing spiders on board. My uncle wouldn't let you on his salmon charter if you had bananas.
  3. There is only one model of Blue Top that is "cranking only," the rest are dual purpose. They are all clearly labeled for their purpose here: https://www.optimabatteries.com/products/bluetop
  4. You're so far off the concept with the marina analogy. I'm talking about a private lake, with access only to paying customers. Not a fish camp. I've been to the Kingfisher Society at Richmond Mills Lake, it's nothing like what you describe. You have the lake to yourself. It's very exclusive, and nothing like a fish camp. I can see a market for it. Though, it isn't really for us weekend warriors.
  5. How a marina, on a public lake compares to a private access, pay to fish lake is beyond me.
  6. Hawgtech is a site sponsor - look on the right.
  7. Country club fishing.....it's coming. There's definitely a market for it.
  8. Isn't that your froggin' reel I played with? That thing can fling a little Koppers a mile.
  9. Yep. I got one of the first kits several years back. It started with the dude posting up in a Lego forum, and snowballed into him putting together kits. I think I paid $40 for the kit.
  10. My main spook bait is a Sammy 115 with one eye, and pretty much worn down to raw plastic.
  11. I have the Beretta. It's pretty cool.
  12. Lego were one of my favorite toys....still are. http://www.brickgun.com/
  13. I have Optimas in my Xpress for the TM. They are around four years old, and never run out of juice. I use a MK Maxxum 70 on that boat.
  14. I'll be using a small, five bait rig in a club tournament this weekend. I doubt anyone else in the club will.
  15. Put his fish finders in demo mode when he's not looking.
  16. There's a lot of "do alot" rods, but no "do it all" rods. A MH/F and M/F casting rig, and a M/F spinning rig will cover just about 99% of the bases.
  17. Yep, sometimes it's just a slight ditch or depression. The only way to really find it is fish it. Learn to time your jig to the bottom.
  18. Fish slow, and fish all of it. That's how you'll learn where. Seriously, summertime they are scattered. Each area may have it's tendencies to hold fish, but there's no hard fast rules to it.
  19. Then you are using the wrong bait. 90% of successful bass fishing is problem solving. You have to get the bait in front of the fish to get bit. Getting hung up will prevent that. Try a pegged Texas Rig or a brush jig - they're made for this type of cover.
  20. I have several that use, depending on the jig and cover. 21. Deep South flipping stick I bought from Speed for $80 and a TD-X 103HSDL I bought used on eBay for around $50.
